Lag and stutter from the new update

Since I downloaded the update on my pc (steam), the game's been much laggier, bigger input delay and frame stuttering. has been awful.
Is there a fix for this? I've tried putting the game graphics on lowest res and there's no difference.
Would love to be able to play the game, again would be super super cool !

I played a few Billy games today and would have to spam the hook button like 50 times before it actually worked

Good to know it isn't just me. I tried playing a Huntress game and every time I threw a hatchet I teleported away, really hard to do anything
