I'll be that guy I hated... Blight isn't that great.
I'm usually pretty reserved when it comes to new Chapters. Waiting 2-4 weeks when a new Killer/Perks are released to get a feel for them and see how they fair when put into actual games and not against potato survivors. Everyone screams nerf this/buff this and that crowd usually goes quiet after some time has passed. But after playing Blight for a couple dozen matches, he just isn't that great. His power is extremely map dependent (my first map as him was Hawkins because someone used that offering, only walked away with 1 hook, 1 Kill. Only got a Kill because I used a Mori to see his Mori. It's expected when I play a new Killer but the Survivor's skill level was pretty bad too).
Aside from traversing the map, it just isn't useful in most chases at Red Ranks and provides little reward for it's use. Especially when Survivors know how to juke Billy, they can easily juke Blight. You can get more use out of Demo's Shred if you're a complete newbie to his power compared to Blight's Charge if you're seasoned. His chase music is just not great to listen to, his music in general is mediocre. His Mori animation has little imagination. He's just a very bright M1 Killer.
The only great thing about him that they seemed to put effort into was his design, backstory, and perks. Better than most other Killers. But beyond the superficial stuff, he was honestly just disappointing and this is the FIRST time I've ever regretted buying DLC because he just isn't fun to play or play against. I honestly find him boring and I never thought I'd be using that word. I find more fun going against Freddy or Spirit than him.
Hopefully time passes and my mind changes but this chapter, this update, just isn't that great.
Edit: Didn't use Compound 7, I focused on base. A Killer should be decent enough on their own without relying heavily on an add-on.

i do it was kind of funny honestly because i didnt think it was too bad.

Didn't say 4ks were impossible. Plus new Killer means new adjustments that Survivors have to make. So what's your point?

Another post already said it for me and a lot more eloquently, skill cap is high for low reward.

I think hes actually really good with compound seven. Without it though I agree.

He does require skill and focus, similar to the nurse but he does not give as much as a reward for the risky playstyle.

Even with his turning addons i find him still incredibly clunky, For some reason on controller he seems to strafe left or right depending on the direction you rush in for me, like it feels worse than billy's turning, factor in needing to bump into something too and it's not a fun experience. His height is an issue too on some maps.

He's not bad is my point.

i did few of these too, but those are just bad rank 1 survivors

they weren't all bad and the ones that were bad were usually the purples. But just because it doesnt fit your narrative of "he's not good" and i get a 4k doesn't mean they were bad survivors

I personally feel like the Blight has quite the potential to be very strong, he is just quite hard to get good at. I really do believe it's too early to judge.

Its early days, but I think a lot of his power is just going to be predicting which way the survivors are going to spin, and/or just knowing when to not swing because they found the smallest piece of debris to hide behind.

lets be honest here, this killer in the current state does not stand a chance vs good survivors no matter how skilled you are, hes basically m1 with mobility, as his power can be dodged with 0 effort
1 -
i've had people dodge but its rare. If you're missing then you're doing something wrong

are you kidding? you literary have 0 control over your lunge
there is not a single good survivor that can get hit by that in most scenarios, its super easy to counter
1 -
No offense, but just because you have screenshots doesn't mean anything. Bad teams are a thing. Solos as well.
Blight lacks a lot. Horrid lunge, and overall a worse Legion. Still, he's very clunky. You're supposed to predict movement but. In a game like this? Nah, that doesnt work.

He's way too ez to loop.

Honestly give it time. I've picked him up quick enough. he has an incredibly high skill cap, and is much like a nurse thats map dependant if that makes any sense whatsoever. use his aim addons/tracking addons if your struggling at first. they help tons to learn him. then try double speed addons/the faster recovery and 4 charges addon. makes it very easy to play.
im hoping he gets some tweaks, but honestly, over tweaking him could make him the next spirit tbh

He will never and could never be spirit levels of power
