Has any console players experience heavy loss of FPS lately since the new update?

So as the title suggests since the new update I have have experience heavy loss of FPS lately especially on the new graphics update map as killer. I can’t say much as survivor since I been trying to get better at the blight as of late but I’m curious to know if you have experience any, especially on the new graphics updated maps as well?

Also the other issues that I have face is when I want to break pallet, hook survivor or vault a window the input just won’t go through ( which is pretty annoying and that it can cost a game). Now I don’t know if that’s a me issue. But I have never experience that kind of issues on any other games before just this one.

I just wish that we as a console player could get an optimizations for the game on console. But I doubt that it will come anytime soon.

PS4 - I played mostly survivor yesterday and was getting same fps drops I was before with some new ones thrown in. FPS dropped when thanatophobia activated - it already dropped with status effects like Sloppy and Exposed, sucks it started to happen with perk effects too. Against Freddy FPS dropped when I was near people that were hit into the Dreamworld - before it was only when I entered Dreamworld, rough it's now when others enter too. When I entered Freddy's Dreamworld I was in a house and it was so dark I couldn't see anything, ended up getting downed from running into something. FPS drops when near Blight using his power - noticed the stutter from the drop while in chases with the Blight.

I only played couple killer matches that I didn't take seriously - Doctor shocking people to get 45 screams and Wraith chase for 120 seconds. FPS still dropping during bloodlust. I had hook glitch happen to me as Wraith and couldn't believe how bad it is from killer side - I could tell it sucked as survivor seeing killers struggle but seeing it from killer perspective it's really rough. I heard there's issues with kicking gens/pallets and vaulting for killers - I didn't do either (was just doing challenges, hooks were survivors giving them to me) so I didn't see first hand those issues.

I think there's some (more) memory leaks or some other things like processes never getting disabled, because I've found that framerate gets worse and worse the more games I play.

For example, this was Yamaoka with the Blight. In certain loops the framerate was the worst thing I have ever experienced

I mean, the worst until I played this game as Myers (and trust me, watch it until the end):

after the Myers game I decided to restart the game and I played with the Huntress - fps seemed much, much better! I don't even know if and how to report this issue though, at this point.

I’m glad that they are looking into it. Hope it’s fix soon and that we don’t have to wait until the mid chapter patch.

Honestly though that was horrible to watch the frame drop makes it look like a slide show. Honestly I’m glad I have crossplay off for now since going against a pc players who have better frames than a console player is tough. And I could totally feel your pain during that match as the blight.

This is where I think most of the fps issues on console come from. I find the fps is ok when I've only just started the game up, after an hour or so it starts to deteriorate every game until I reset it

Only on Dead Dawg facing Freddy, especially while in the dream state

...or any other map vs Freddy, for that matter

I've actually gotten better frame rates after this update. It's no 60 fps but it's a lot more consistent and smooth. :)

No, for me the game runs better than ever on Ps4..

I only noticed a bit of lag in some maps or facing the pedophile

nope, fps has been really good since the new patch (at least against blight on the new maps)

hawkins, lerys, and doctor still plummet the games fps for me

btw, some were as killer and survivor. i noticed when killers had animated charms the fps was worse than usual as survivor

The Temple Map was running fairly well in the beginning but in the middle of the match, my frames began to drop drastically. I was playing Demogorgon. So not a constant 60 fps.

Xbox. Not necessarily FPS drops but reworked badham was very dark which made it tough to play

We have to restart the game all the time to fix this garbage...

a proof that game gets better after a restart:

look at the difference when I hover over perks before and after a restart.

(and yes, the game after this restart was much better than the Myers one)

I’ve actually had a significant improvement in FPS on my PS4, and the game is running mostly at 60fps for me
