Why is the release of the trapper mask delayed over and over again?
I've preordered the mask http://store.deadbydaylight.com/miscellaneous/882/trapper-mask-1-1-wearable-replica-limited-edition-art-print?c=378 last November or December. First it was said that the release is in April, then May, then June and now July.

@not_Queen where should we be asking these questions to get responses? I've seen it a bit on Reddit and I also was wondering. Idk who to talk to about this.
I'm sorry. I totally forgot to post the answer from someone of the official DBD store:
"Unfortunately, the distributor informed us about a delivery delay due to production issues which had to be adressed first. We want to make sure that you receive a flawless product that you can enjoy for a long time.
The release date has therefore been postponed to the end of July and we'll make sure to ship all orders once they are available from our warehouse.
My apologies for the inconveniences."

That sucks hard...0

That lack of feedback on this has been terrible, especially for those who made the purchase upon first sale, I had to go to the store to see if they had changed the estimated date (which they had) why no emails sent out? No apologies on dev streams?

Might as well just remove the release date altogether.
You're only teasing those that pre-ordered it by putting up release dates that get changed.0 -
Respective this topic - i orderered the trapper mask and i wonder why the price for the mask actually raised. I got the bill in my mailentry since february and when i log into my account on the storepage it actually doesnt show any orders done by me.
Incase this is working as intended - what is kinda weird - are people that ordered early on paying less for the mask ? Also why isnt there even an email notification for the delayed shipping ? I mean i dont wanna be that guy cause i dont mind paying some money for merch of a game i love but jesus christ cant you just send some automated mail to your buyers that are waiting for their mask for 6 months ?1 -
Any words on the mask? Has someone tried to contact the store?0

and again delayed. this mask is just a joke. they will never ship it.

I'm sure BHVR will adequately compensate you all.0

Was genuinely considering ordering one of these, after reading all the above I think my money might be better off in my wallet.

No, they didn't. If you order a cake from a bakery for a party, and the bakery fails to deliver, is it your fault, or the bakery's fault? You're just jumping on the hate train, even though it's wholly unjustified.
The store has a good track record, according to at least one of the members from this forum. The store ######### up; not the devs.0 -

THEY told us a release date.
THEY chosed this company to make the masks.
THEY haven't done anything communication wise to keep us informed.Almost like they hoped we wouldn't notice.
Couple that to the condescending answer by mail when they were asked about it the first time.
Just show how respectful to their customers they are.If they got scammed by the company who make these masks, it's also entirely their fault, and maybe should have tried to do something before.
Did i need to remind you that they already got our money for this mask since nearly a year ?
I don't buy the ######### mentality of : " If you got scammed it's your fault and should be blamed more than the scammer "
Nope, the scammer has to be ######### for his faults.
What is this kind value reversion this generation have ?
Where the ######### are glorified and the good guys mocked ?
######### them, really.

[BAD WORD] them, really.
So you say that if the devs got scammed, it's their own fault, but you also say that the scammer is the one at fault and that blaming the person who got scammed is a "value reversion"? Doublethink much?
They told you the release date given to them by the store.
They chose this company because of their good reputation.
You're right that they should've kept you informed about the current situation.PS: Your generation is just as bad as any other. Stop pretending you're special.

Not when you already paid for the product.
And while you're not wrong, we are talking about BHVR.
I'm gonna admit that if it was another company i would have been more tolerant. They dared act all smug at first, knowing their history.
I personally can't stand ######### behaviours like that to paying customers.

Where did i said that mine was better ?
I'm just pointing how childish and entitled this particular one is.
But nice try.

I already chastised them for their behavior, but your bias is clear - you literally say that someone being scammed is not to blame, but would blame the devs if they got scammed.
In reality, they're not to blame if the company they asked to make the masks didn't deliver on their promises any more than a host is to blame if the catering service ######### up.Your generation is just as entitled and childish, whatever it is, because all generations are more or less the same. Ageism dates back to the beginning of civilization.

I'm sorry but when i spend £50.00 of my money and not receive the product that is now 5 soon to be 6 MONTHS late I'm gonna be a little bit entitled to want AT LEAST some kind of idea as to where the product is.
If you live outside of Germany (where the store is based) it's almost impossible to get an answer from this store. CLEARLY BHVR who was working WITH them on these masks could have asked them for answers where they could then relay answers back to the community via Q&A videos. But they didn't. So yes, they did screw up. They should have been WAY more transparent with the community.
They've only just waited until a few days ago to send a mass apology email to everyone. for a product that will eventually be 6 months late, and wanting to know where it is makes people entitled? Jesus.

I was only addressing his ageism in general terms. In this case, I've already expressed my view.

Jesus. This has been the main problem with this whole thing, lack of comminication to the people that already spent there money. There should of been an email with each delay, not one just because this thread keeps on popping up near the top of the forums on a weekly basis.

The store ######### up; not the devs.It is definitely the bakery's fault, they have taken your money on the premise that they would deliver on time and they have not. A party is also not the same as ordering an item online that has no strict deadline whereas a party does, please don't use such stupid analogies purely because you want to be the guy with the opposite opinion to the rest.

DId you do the purchase with bhvr or with that company, which company did you give the 50 bucks?
If it was BHVR, then its their responsibility to take care of this mess and a 6 month delay is not acceptable
