I keep seeing mention of a Camaraderie bug, can someone tell me what it is?

It's a bug that popped up in the BOTB tournament that causes struggling survivors to die the moment Camaraderie ends.
No one had ever heard of this bug before, and the documentation is hella shaky, so its entirely possible that there was no bug and he either fucked up his struggle or he lied to get a re-do on the match after a particularly bad start.
