Took a break, still hate the game.
I took about two months break from dbd hoping that the blight update would bring some more light into the game, but I was wrong. I've come to a conclusion that dbd can be a fun game but just isn't. From someone who has played for about 3 years there is nothing more frustrating than seeing nothing change in the game since then. Take away all the new killers and survivors what do you have. Almost the same game from 3 years ago. It's gotten to the point were every little problem that I've have with game for years bugs me to no end.
I love the idea of dbd and what it could become, but the game is dying. Not by sales, but its community. I have never seen a more toxic or upset community with the game the revolve around.
I will probably still play every once in a while, but for now I'll be waiting till next anniversary.
GG yall, peace

while I would have given you a LOL if the button still existed, I think the OP's point was that nothing's been done to the core of the game to address generator speeds, the free availability of chase resources without any effort from survivors, or the ability for survivors to know where the killer is at all times due to the incredible amount of information constantly being fed into survivors' heads.
i.e. that novelty and monetization has been the blood and breath of this game for the past three years rather than anything substantial.
Ofc, that's my summary of what I think OP's saying. I'm hoping for some minor changes at least to the core gameplay, but I'm not expecting radical changes from these devs any time in the near future, as much as I would perhaps hope for some.

I think a greater point is the core of the game is still the same. In many games, that's a good thing. But I don't think it is in DBD. I think the default game mode is perhaps the weakest idea they could have come up with. One side holds M1 for an hour and gets in the occasional chase, while the other, as long as the survivors aren't trash, generally have to sweat their balls off in comparison.
We need more game modes. We need new and better objectives. We need experimental concepts and bots for players who DC and a friggin' practice/casual mode. DBD feels so barebones on everything except the myriad ways you can spend money on #########.
