Object of Obsession is OP

It needs a cool down. Nothing is more annoying than getting trolled with it by survivors. That and they need to make it to where survivors can't dodge getting hit so easy. That should solve a lot of the gameplay issues as killer.

    Yeah its a weird situation where a perk is outright worthless on solo but game-breakingly strong on comms/swf. I had a game with a swf using it the other day and it was a completely miserable experience.

    It is only OP when abused by SWF which provides the benefit to the entire team. It is particularly abused on maps where there are clear areas, like different Floors (Midwich and the Meat Plant) or maps outlined by key landmarks. The OoO can simply call out a simple signal like UPSTAIRS... DOWNSTAIRS... Cowshed... etc. and the team always knows where the Killer is at.

    But I think that problem is better solved by getting the SWF into their own Que... rather than hurting OoO which is otherwise a neat Perk.

    Personally I’d be for revamping Object of Obsession so that it gives the survivor a strong buff that works solo but that isn’t overpowered with comms. For instance, something like


    Object of Obsession. You have an increased chance of being the Obsession. You receive a 15/25/35% speed increase on gen repair, healing, hook rescue and vault actions. The killer can see your aura if you are looking at them and outside their terror radius.


    The numbers above are just an example, they could be tweaked up or down for balance. But the general idea is the survivor gets a strong buff on their own actions in exchange for the downside of being easier for the killer to find. With a strong enough buff the perk would be good high risk/high reward as a solo survivor but this type of buff isn’t really made much more powerful by being on comms, unlike the current version where the ability to see the killer’s aura becomes almost broken when you can pass that information to teammates instantly.

    Easy and not such OP is that you get a buff of 5%/10%/15% in all actions if u are being in chase.Its object of obssesion it must be related with chase.

    It is really good, because let's say you play any killer without stealth, they know exactly where you are. Play trapper and they even see where you put traps the whole time. Most people that use that perk, play in swf, so the whole team knows your location. That perk is just broken unfair.

    It’s pretty entitled to complain about OoO being OP. Spirit and PyramidHead nerfs are the priority right now.

    The current power isn't really related to chase, it's more about knowing where the killer is out of chase since it only works if you're outside the their terror radius. That being said a strong buff to chases would be interesting. It would have to be a decent enough buff to make up for the killer often knowing where you are obviously.
