Facecamp+Mori=Balanced
Im a rank 1 surv and a rank 4 killer, i play both sides evenly and have seen a lot of amazing things.. anyways, on a lot of threads about tunneling, camping, face camping, blahblahblah, most comments are going on about how it gets better as you rank up and in rank 1 its " rare " for survivors to get face camped... " rare "... not to be a party pooper, but that is a lie, I'd like to realistically notify that at least with no exaggeration, 7/10 games i get face camped or tunneled, usually after being spawned 4 meters away from the killers terror radius, the amount of times I've seen it and it happened to me where someone gets downed in the first 10 seconds because survivors spawn in a deadzone against killers that specify in ending chases quick, getting hooked, then as the killer begins to leave the hook some meghead picks someone up with no bt, the first person hooked now goes down in 1 hit, then gets moried before the first gen gets completed, and as the game goes by the killer may end the game with all 32k points but the survivor moried in the first 20 seconds of the game? 200 points for boldness and a depip. my girlfriend made an account recently and shes rank 16 now and nearly every game she plays shes camped and the killers bring mories, im rank 1 and every game i play i or someone else is camped and the killers bring mories. and the fact that people comment on threads like this saying " do swf, bring ds, bring bt, dont get caught at spawn, looping exists " me and my girlfriend play on 2 completely different skill levels and deal with the same things every game, i would consider myself a good looper being as, if im not caught at a deadzone in the first 4 seconds i can loop for 2 gens with ease sometimes more depending on the map set up, my girlfriend absolutely can't loop even if shes given shack into long wall into jungle gym. but the main thing about this thread is about survivors losing ranks getting 500- points and killers gaining ranks possibly getting max games simply because getting 1 person dead early pretty much means hatch game for survivors which is also hard to win as survivor with rng.
not speaking as a survivor main, or a killer main, survivors definatly are simply stronger as a team than a killer, but when killers are dicks that know what they are doing, they are stronger, but the game seriously needs to not reward killers for destroying a survivor immediatly because that survivor doesnt always want to run 2nd chance perks, also ds is useless against mories so dont start with that.

i remember like 1 year ago killers and survivors where more skilled at red ranks, now it's just tunneling, facecamping with a mori, or survivors who don't loop the pallets or farm their teammates 6/10 games

They're playing to win, not to show off. This is what competitive gaming looks like.

Ds+unbrakable+dh=balanced.
Almost every game there is atleast 2 ds.Frick that shait.

this is the most wrong thing I've ever heard. before spirit got released it was so common to get the hit and instantly the pallet drop, then when spirit fury became meta most people realized how to play efficiently, same goes for the anti heal meta. Tunneling was probably even harder back then with obsession ds. You probably don't remember how DbD was.

I'm talking about 2019 january-july
Read carefully I said year ago not 2

The abysmal rank reset nowadays along with ruin nerf have made it so that there are so many boosted players in red ranks it will never be fixed.
the devs in trying to placate every player that is not so skilled has turned the game into a literal race against the clock. Killers tunnel/mori a lot more due to time and survivors gen rush/swf/(and in the case of boosts unhook unsafely).
the devs condensing the game into 6-7 min matches are entirely to blame in my opinion

1) I wouldn't say that's rewarded by the game's emblems or bloodpoints for removing that survivor immediately. Each survivor is a potential bag of bloodpoints for hooks so just mori'ing them off first hook is a momentum move if you've already lost control of the match or you're throwing your potential 32k away (2 pip isn't even possible with mori).
2) Your sample size of 10 games is pretty small, most of the people saying it's less likely to happen at R1 aren't lying to you. People get completely face camped maybe less than 1/10 times at that - unless the gens are done and doors are 99%. This experience is shared among forum people here, reddit folks, streamers big and small over thousands and thousands of games. What you're describing "shouldn't" happen that often unless you're having an unusual string of bad luck.
The exception that might pertain to this post is that it's still around rank reset where MM fails everyone for a dozen games and that Fresh R1 might not be getting treated as such either way

January 2019 was around legion patch, anti heal wasn't meta yet, it became finally meta with plague release, march 2019 people started to learn how to loop efficiently (learning the spirit fury+ enduring). Then during like April Ash came, with his pay to win perk, and maybe Ghostface came during that period.
during that period people were still trash, accomplishing to lose with all the resources they had, something it would be impossible these days.

Every killer will also reply to the complaining survivors "haha salty scrub" or "ggez get better"
Like, yeah no #########, you're making the game unfun for 4 players. I'd be pissed too if I was the guy who's on the hook watching my teammates play the game while I sit there with the killer.

There definitely needs to be a dynamic RULE system in place to dictate killer behavior. That applies and releases restrictions on certain behaviors. You only see it at the end of the match through emblems, so it really does not have any presence during the match.
We're supposed to believe a magic spider is watching us for its own amusement and actually enjoys watching their champion kicking mud into a corner every gladiator match? That's a big thumbs down.

Honestly the number of killers I go against that I think are brown ranks, that turn out to be rank 1, is astounding...but then my teammates almost always seem to be green rank and immersed as all hell, so no wonder they're ranking up, eh?

Oh really, moris arent balanced? Really?! I had no idea! No ones ever made a post about moris! Never! Thank you for bringing this problem to light and not stating the obvious!

At least you can counter a DS by not picking them up, you cant counter a mori if you are downed immediatly after a hook

very true, I'd also like to know why some killers bring in endgame perks like NOED and Rankor when you have no intention on letting the game get that far in the first place. No I don't mean the killers that end up winning out in the end, I mean the ones that put so much pressure on a team that nothing gets done or they kill the obsession right off the bat making those perks useless.
The same goes for survivors who complain about slugging. Its one only counters to DS and BT
As for moris. If I get hit by one and I'm on death hook, It doesn't bother me, but when I'm hit with one less then 5 minutes into a game because someone pulled me off a hook right in front of the killer and I'm out, then it's annoying and you can't counter them at all.

There’s lots of.... questionable behaviour at higher ranks.
The other day I was playing as Doc. I’m currently rank 4. Straight out the door these survivors were struggling. I got 7 hooks and 2 sacrifices by the time they got 1 gen done. I was really convinced that they must be really new because they just seemed to always be panicking and not looping well at all.
By the time I had the 3rd survivor on death hook (still only 1 gen done), I took pity part way to a hook and spun on the spot to let them wiggle out. I then proceeded to make it clear I would let them repair and escape. I felt very sorry for how much they were struggling, and I wasn’t using OP perks or add ons (strategy revolved around M&A, Calm, and Dark Devotion).
To my absolute shock on the post match results they all ranged from Rank 5 to Rank 1, with the Rank 1 being one of the dead survivors.

Yeah it's weird, I've had games where I've played with high red ranked survivors and when I got out of the match and saw there ranks I asked myself How???
They did almost nothing during the match, maybe finished one generator, Helped no one off a hook and didn't heal a single person.
