DS Punishes Well-Performing Killers

Nooooo! Anything but the old DS!
That was the most busted OP perk in all of online gaming. If I have to go back to the bad old days of juggling survivors to hooks I'm seriously quitting forever.

I really hate when people say "its an anti-momentum perk" despite several devs that are not Peanits saying there were anti-tunneling benefits made with the rework in mind.
Even if all of the devs said it was just an "anti-momentum" perk then its still a bad argument because that's just a terribly designed perk then. Its like saying the old Mettle of Man was fair because its "anti-momentum."

I mean, they also got rid of its primary counterplay and made it viably usable 4 times a match rather than once.

How does defending bones till endgame make a killer bad?

Dribbling was countered by swfs and atleast 1 smart solo player to bodyblock for the obsession. 35% was achieved almost every wiggle. I ran DS permanently back in the day.
Sure it's like everyone has obsession but I mean still you have to be hooked. You could prevent hooks.

Not to mention the enduring nerfs made ds more viable.
0 -
That's true but a nerf to one perk does not equal a buff to another.
0 -
Not necessarily, but wasn't DS literally the only thing affected by the enduring nerf? Was Head-on around when nerf happened?
Edit: Looked in to it, Head on was around for one chapter before the enduring nerf. Still, I think its easy to say that this nerf to enduring was a boon to decisive strike.

I mean, considering the thin scope of the enduring nerf, I think it is safe to say that the enduring nerfs were a boon to decisive strike.

Does not matter nerf does not equal buff to to something else.

I am not saying it was a buff then. I am just saying the enduring changes made decisive more viable, and a benefit was incurred as a result.

Low quality bait

It also allowed it to be a 100% guaranteed use if the Killer picks you up.
The stun was also increased from 3 seconds to 5 seconds.
Seems like less of a nerf, more of a change.

If you wanna be a pain run it with unbreakable, head on and soul guard.

Yes it made DS more viable but it still doesnt compare to older DS cause it doesnt prevent hooks
0 -
It's a nerf because you could prevent hooks.
0 -
It was a buff because now you can DS instantly and for longer.
But for real, considering the variety of changes made, a rework is a more appropriate term.

Cn you not still prevent hooks?
Plus, juggling was a pretty common solution that usually resulted in a hook.
You could slug people today, but it's pretty common for them to be picked up and then they have DS for the next time.

Yes it is a buff but it doesnt city pare to the fact that you could prevent hooks in general.
I still say no because the killer isnt getting any closer to finishing their objective

Saying "DS Punishes Well-Performing Killers" is like saying "The sun is hot"

People who claim it is "just a 5s stun" simply have no idea what you can do in 5s. I won matches due to that perk and I am not the only survivor that did so, you can completely turn a match around with ds/adrenaline/unbreakable/bt/dead hard/head on/soul guard the synergies are just way too much.
Also by this logic it is just "5s stun" you can also tell the story of how old MoM was totally fine, just one more hit.
How do expect killers not to care for efficiency? It is basicly what is being hammered into your brain when playing killer, be effective.

DS doesn't hold a candle to killer perks.

Right I think I need to explain this to you one last time.
First off I have no problem with NOED in it's current state. It can be annoying at times but I don't think it needs changed or nerfed.
Now as survivor your objective is to do gens. Anything else is a waste of time statistically. If you want to open chests, heal or cleanse totems that's fine but your technically wasting time not doing your objective.
Now go back to the OP's original discussion. They are saying that DS is technically punishing killer performing well. That is technically true. Noed technically punishes survivors for playing well and rushing gens. Don't know why I've had to repeat this so many times in thos discussion but it's the last time. I hope you understand this now mate.
Also side note mate please use some full stops. It makes reading your message a lot easier.
