Typical, they fixed the bugs that affected survivors but didn't touch the bugs affecting killers
After yesterday's patch fix, the bugs that were fixed were the audio of the killer's radius for survivors, Huntress' hatchet hit boxes, and when you hook a survivor is hooked in the basement, they'll appear to float in the air.
All these bugs have something in common, they affect survivors. To be honest, I barely noticed them when I was playing survivor, and didn't impact my gaming experience too much (I only saw the basement hook bug once, and that was when I was playing killer).
However, the game breaking bugs that killers have been experiencing still remain after the patch fix:
- A bug where you're unable to hook a survivor on a specific hook, you have to try and take the survivor to a different hook to hook them. By the time you got to the other hook the survivor would have wiggled free. To add to this, survivors have been using saboteur, breakout, and using increasing the hook distance offerings.
- A bug which prevents from the killer from vaulting windows. This seems to happen when you want to vault a window to cut a survivor off at a loop, such as Shack, Jungle Gyms etc.
- A bug which prevents the killer from being able to kick generators or break pallets from certain sides.
- Not to mention bugs that have existed before the latest DLC, which were silent slugs and survivors often not having any sound. (Which has been in the game for nearly a year now)
The bugs above should have been more of a priority to have them fix, than the bugs that were fixed. Because currently killer is nearly impossible to play at higher tier game play. You can work around these bugs against potatoes, but not against good survivors.
I'm tagging @Peanits as these bugs need to be addressed.

The huntress bug affected killers over survivors because it prevented close-range hatchet throws and basically neutered the one-two combo lol.
Also the biggest survivor bug, the ds one, wasn't fixed.
Edit: as for your silent slugs, there's still a request for logs and details and anything from the devs because they can't recreate the issue in-studio.

I assume you play both sides like you should, as such, just play some more survivor if these bugs affect you so.

Maybe, but I don't play as Huntress (I have terrible aim) so I'm unaware how her hit boxes affect her, nor do I use DS (I didn't even know there was a DS bug).
Still not being able to hook survivors, vault windows during chases, breaking pallets, kicking generators is pretty game breaking.
EDIT:
I was a survivor main for over a year and half, but currently killer is the side I enjoy the most. I would like these bugs fixed so I can go back to enjoying killer.

smh nerf survivors op.

Number 2 and 5 are Killer Bugs.
Also, may I introduce you to the 2 second Stun against some Killers? I mean, that Spirit I went against yesterday probably did not mind that she had only 0,3 seconds of distance gained by me to cover. Let alone the Hill Bug where Killers took a lot of advantage from.
And honestly, all the Bugs mentioned... Never experienced them in my game except for the sound Bug, but rarely. This is for my Killer games. For Survivor games, I noticed the "cannot Hook"-Bug exactly once. So they are kinda rare.
This does not mean that they should not be fixed ASAP, but it is not like Killer is unplayable.

To be fair even though the flying basement hook bug affected survivors it was mostly a positive cause you didn't have to walk upstairs.

I think every survivor would've traded the bug fixes they did for the stun fix. It's not only DS that's bugged but even the stun when you wiggle off the killers shoulder.
Also I know it's not a bug but those gen repairing sounds are horrendous. Trust me when I say no survivor was happy with this fix either.

They couldnt "recreate" the Stalk Bug on GF / Myers for month either when in reality it happend every third game... they warned us on PBE to not use freddy cuz he darkens reworked maps and it still does no live.. no idea what is going on at BHVR

Bugs are not categorised into either killer or survivor sided bugs for a start. Obviously we wish things weren't bugged at all, but that's not the case right now and the patch addressed the ones that could be ready in time for that patch. There will be other patches that address other bugs.

You must be lucky as I experience being unable to hook survivors, kick pallets, vault windows, kick generators multiple of times in one game. There's been games where I've been unable to hook a single a survivor, I've been forced to just slug and force survivors to bleed out.
From my experience playing killer is unplayable against good survivors, because having a survivor being able wiggle free because of the hook bug can be the difference between winning the match and losing the match.
As I said in a previous post I do not play Huntress (because I'm bad with her), however, I know Huntress's hit box is like having a whale thrown at you. So from my POV the Huntress hit box fit was more beneficial for survivors, but if the hit box fix actually benefit Huntress players then I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong in that regard.
I haven't bough Blight, so I haven't experienced bugs with the perk "Dragon's Grip".
Also this was the listed bug fixes in my news feed when I opened the game (The last four patch fixes weren't mentioned in my news feed):

Thats just a highlight. If you clicked for more detailed patch notes as it states you would see more.
Technically most of them are for both sides and the only real survivor one was the heartbeat.
The issues of hooking, vaulting and kicking gens are most likely one issue as they are all tied to an action being performed.
The huntress fix is for both sides as the hit was inconsistent. While some hit round corners others wouldn't hit at all and could go right through a survivor making both sides feel cheated.
The issue with some bugs are when they happen randomly as not consistent can take longer to fix as they need a lot more testing replicating the bug to pinpoint exactly what is going on. It's like the DS bug as it is only bugged on certain killers.

are the sounds not a new bug? it sound like were trying to start a car or something.

I just read "key changes". I was already ready to crab dance.

Theres still a ton of bugs on both sides. Stop being childish. If they prioritised survivors they'd have fixed the DS bug by now.

They didn't touch hatchet hitboxes. What they did was fixed hatchets hitting survivors and not causing damage.

First off, the terror radius bug was horrible. A Freddy pulled me off a gen and I didn't even know he was nearby. Secondly, if you get the hook bug, you just drop them and pick them back up again and then hook them. It's worked every time for me

How could it be a bug. That sound is in the files somewhere so it needed to be there for something.
I hope it's a bug and this isn't another "we know what's best so we're not changing anything".

You can simply just back up to fix the hook bug for that survivor.

I have to disagree with the hook bug being rare. I've encountered the hook bug in multiple Killer games now, and that same bug affects vaulting windows, kicking generators, and opening lockers. And in many games I've encountered all three, but chances are most Killers have encountered at least one of the three within their matches as of late.
3 -
I'm pretty sure the DS bug only applies to certain killer frames (eg. not the one released with Demo), but I haven't seen this proven yet.

Yes you can just drop the survivor at the hook, but at higher tier game play that could still cost you the game.
Like i say it's okay to work around these bugs against bad survivors, but not against good survivors. Carrying a survivor to a hook takes time, being forced to drop a survivor means they still have a hook state left, not to mention the time you spent downing them (even if it was a short chase).

I've encountered in every match so far and survivor starting to play Putrid Oak a lot isn't this gameplay abuse of the bug/exploit and bannable? if not going start dc every time I see this offering played not fair.
1 -
People that say the action bugs are rare for killer I wish I were you lol I've got plenty of clips of me not able to hook.
1 -
The only way this becomes an exploit is if the devs openly acknowledge that it's a bug that players need to stop taking advantage of.
It's still boggles my mind how such a bug was allowed to pass the testing phase. Having a bug effect everything you do as a killer is detrimental to playing any killer, and considering how few killer mains there are out there makes waiting lobbies for survivor that much worse.
1 -
why I play both sides this bug is exploit survivors know it need to be fixed yesterday.

Remember, this is the same company that let the basement bug (the one where you couldn’t control your Survivor if you got hooked in there, it was a free kill for the Killer) pass. It’s disappointing, but not surprising that all these other bugs are passing.
1 -
I don't like saying negative things about any developer because God knows I'm not one and I know they work hard, but I'll never understand how so many bugs make it through testing. If the general populace can easily come across these game breaking bugs, then surely the devs did too prior to release.

Don't forget Ash being completely silent. Suddenly everyone is playing him. Also don't forget the influx of Quentin's when Wake Up was bugged and applied an action speed buff to ALL actions from the start of the match.
0 -
I've never actually had a silent slug. They've usually just managed to crawl really far away using tenacity.
0 -
That rarely actually works. Dropping them and picking them back up works every time for me

ash thing I haven't really noice but I remember the wake up thing no bans for that but here was ban for using legion add on.

the action bug (hooking, kicking, vaulting) is borderline game breaking. I can safely say that I encounter the bug multiple times every game.
Probably it's the position I'm used to take while performing these actions, but still...
Anyway I'm sure this will be fixed by tuesday. Well, not "sure", but I assume bhvr knows how awful this is for killers.
0 -
yes, and you can avoid the DS bug by simply not using it.
Come on man :)
0 -
... what was the point of you saying this?

They fixed a lot of killer issues, including how dark it is on the new maps in the Dream World. (Which definitely affected Killers). They simply couldn't fix it in time, and if they rushed it they'd probably have brand new bugs. Maybe the next one would've caused the killer to hook themselves instead of the survivor if they'd rushed it.
0 -
Really? Survivors are OP? I guess you've forgotten what they have done to leatherface where he is basically a God but survivors should be nerfed 🙄
0 -
The cannot hook bug is not rare for me it's about 1/5 hooks I can't hook. I'm getting more lag than I've ever had and everything on my side of connection appears fine. I'm seeing a silent survivor or 2 in every match which is just free iron will. It's made the game unplayable for me as killer. I'm taking a good long break from DBD before it loses all of its magic for me. I just can't hang with game breaking bugs .

should have made my sarcasm more clear tbh
