Try at least 9 hooks to get iridescent Devout is a lie.
This 3 Iridescent Devout emblembs challenge is a bullshit, I got 11 hooks and the last survivor run to hatch and I get Merciless Killer with everything iridescent except a motherfucking GOLD DEVOUT emblem and there is no progress to iri pip, it just stuck at gold pip. They need to change the descriptions. This challenge is frustating to get and the only way to get another killer challenges besides survivor route.

What is wrong with the descriptions? The Devout emblem is pretty clear. 20 per sacrifice, 10 if you got everyone at least once, 10 when you get at least 9 hooks.
So you can either miss a sacrifice if you get the two +10 options or you simply kill everybody (also possible with mori then) and are guaranteed the gold emblem
Edit: thought you need gold, but you need iri. Sooo you need a 4k, 9 hooks and everybody hooked at least once (which should be auto if you 4k unless the last one dies to EGC).

My biggest gripe with this challenge is that you have to slug for the 4k, which is something I really loathe doing. It's time-consuming, boring and feels really scummy.
Also, someone disconnects? GG. Someone gives up on hook? GG. I don't like this challenge and I'm glad I got it done (even though it took 12 whole games).

Have tried getting twice both dced for me "try harding" im just like...well i kinda have to for this lol. Just like the kill all 4 survivors in one matches i cant risk the hatch.

The description of the Devout emblem clearly states that iridescent is granted for nine or more hooks in a match. NOWHERE does it mention the need to 4K, making this challenge incredibly misleading.
My first go at the challenge had me get 11 hooks with Legion and the last Meg got out through the hatch. I was going to give her the hatch anyway because I was counting the hooks and, following this description, I should have gotten iridescent Devout (and I kind of felt bad that they didn't get a single gen done in those 12 or so minutes the match lasted). However, because Meg escaped, I got gold instead.
THAT is what is wrong with this description. If it was more accurate (saying you need 9 hooks AND a 4K), I don't think anyone would be complaining. As is, it's misleading at best, completely bugged at worst.

Iri is a 4K I’m pretty sure cuz I had I could be wrong 10-11 hooks and last guy bled cuz he crawled into the corn with the iron will slug bug and I came out with gold
I will say having killers need 4ks while survivor is just a couple saves or heals don’t even need to escape is a little unfair but what are you gonna do 🤷🏻♀️

Alright, I did not see that yet, I always take a look at the points that are given, and the "pip-meter" that shows how close you are to each of them. These are correct at least and the easiest to understand. That last line on the description is truly crap

This just reinforces my belief that the Archive team has a very little understanding of the game. They keep creating challenges that can easily be denied by the other side DCing, require you to use broken mechanics (ex. two gen grabs in one game with Discordance), or are unfun for whatever reason (requires you to play bad, needs the stars to align for you to complete it, etc). This Devout challenge can easily be denied by DCing, forcing yourself to go the next hook stage, or being hyper aggressive on gens.

Honestly, devout emblems are rarely my problem. Getting 3 4k's with nine hooks? Yeah, sure. Might take me a few more trials, but who cares, excepting every trial to be a 9hook4kill is... Entitled, to say the least. Just slap the challenge on and play normally, maybe slug for the 4k if you want to really go for it.

Emblems don't change based on rank, the amount of emblems required to pip do.
As for OP, yes, the text in game can be misleading. Iridescent devout requires a 4k, 9 hooks, and everyone hooked at least once.

I don't even try for the grab ones, because almost all my grabs get cancelled. They don't even turn into a hit anymore, just a confusing half-animation that leaves me disoriented while the survivor runs away.
However, I do kind of wonder if the challenges are an experiment, sometimes. (And I think it would be fine if they were). Like, maybe they need data about how a particular action or perk is working, so the challenge encourages everybody to do that action or use that perk during a certain window of time.

emblems are missed up anyways shouldn't have a challenge with Emblems.
I really hate some of these challenge it like the dev want us to be toxic as we can be.

Agreed, the description for the category is extremely innaccurate. Behavior should get on that whenever they start paying attention. I just did survivor challenges and am doing the gold challenge that crosses over into the killer challenges so I can skip it. I only got iridescent once when the survivors decided to be weird in the basement with my Doctor. It still felt dirty and I had to throw my rank hard with the Hag just to get there.

It's not a lie. You need 9 hooks to get an Iridescent. If you 4k with less than 9 you only get Gold.

It mentions the Kill requirement in the part you left out. The description CLEARLY states you get points for kills and for hooking everyone. Then it tells you that you also need 9 hooks to earn the Iridescent.
It is neither bugged or misleading. You simply didn't pay enough attention.
