Hello I was wondering why me a rank 16 killer keeps getting put up against a bunch of rank 8s?

This has happened every game and almost everytime I have Ben gen rushed before the game has even started.

    1. Matchmaking is screwed.
    2. The game cannot somehow find rank 16 survivors so it puts you into 8... dont ask why

    DBD's matchmaking takes search time as priority if there's no players of your rank playing at the moment, so it will match you up against any survivors it finds.

    Translations to the above: There are literally not enough active players on at any extended period of given time to have a matchmaking system that actually pairs players together based on rank - and since rank is arbitrary anyway and has very little actual indication of game skill unless they are in the red ranks (due to the playstyle required to maintain those ranks), the only thing a rank can show you in the first place is: A) This person has played for a while since the reset happen and ranked up over time; or B) This person plays by the Dev's "preferred" handbook of how to play the game, so you can expect them to squeeze out every bloodpoint possible from the mechanics instead of being more laid-back and casual about it.
