Idea to make Freddy more viable
So first off, this will not balance Freddy out. This will just be a step in the right direction, but he'd still need some serious buffs.
So, as we all know, Freddy has the worst defense in the whole game. He cant do anything but to wait 7 seconds, until the survivors finally fall asleep, while they are still able to do everything right under your nose (e.g. saving that one guy off the hook)
so, what about this:
- when Freddy tags you with his power, you will not be able to perform any actions, unless vaulting windows and dropping pallets. so the dream transition phase would be similar to the doctors madness tier 3. (actions include: healing, repairing, sabotaging, cleansing, opening a gate, unhooking, escaping through the hatch)
- when you get tagged by Freddys power, you will instantly stop any action you were doing.
this would help Freddy in multiple ways, since you'd actually be able to stop them from saving right in your face, repairing that 99% gen, destroying your hex or opening the gate, as well as giving you some viability for the hatch (at least you will be able to start a standoff now).
i think this would be a great improvement for Freddy and a very needed buff.

- Give Freddy (or basically every killer) the ability to pick up down survivor even if they get healed.
- Exclude awake survivor from the hitdetection, so that awake can't bodyshield sleeping survivor.
- Your point - make his power an interrupt ability to give him the ability to defend totem and hooks better.

Or here's a neat idea, why not give freddy the ability to grab and pull survivors off of gens, escape gates, and hook rescues if they're in the dream transition if the interruption idea never makes it in. Basically a second in the transition passes and a survivor attempts to rush finish the gen, only to be pulled off and sped up his dream
transition. It would punish dumb risk takes since freddy can't do anything till the transition is over. Also make it impossible to interact with pallets or vaults till the Dream transition is almost over, symbolizing they are now in a new world. If someone you pulled in the dream world is body blocking you, give freddy the ability to pull them out of the dreamworld. Yeah Freddy can't hurt them but they can't body block a hook now can they? >:)0 -

Freddy can already pick victims from locker despite them being awake, so why not at least give him the grab while they are in transition? That would solve a lot of issues for him.
