Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The Shape is not the best Killer right now, he is overshadowed by other Killers, like The Oni, so here are some small buffs to his base kit and some addons!

Evil Within

Evil Within I

  • Increased the base movement speed to 110% or 4.4 m/s. (From 105% or 4.2 m/s)

Evil Within II

  • Increased the base pallet breaking, breakable-wall breaking and generator kicking speeds by 5%.
  • When the Stalk meter is full, press and hold the Secondary Power button to activate Evil Within III.

Evil Within III

  • Increased the base pallet breaking, breakable-wall breaking and generator kicking speeds by 10%.
  • Increased the Blood Point gain for downing a Survivor to 800. (From 300 Blood Points)

Add-Ons

Vanity Mirror (Buff)

  • Reduces the base movement speed by 5%. (From 115% to 110% [Before it was from 115% to 108%])

Scratched Mirror (Basically the same)

  • Reduces the base movement speed by 5%. (From 110% to 105%)

Lock of Hair (New playstyle)

  • When Evil Within III ends, The Shape goes back to Evil Within I instead of Evil Within II.
  • Moderately increases the amount of "Stalk Points" in the Trial. (To 60.6 from 40.4)

Hope you like these changes!

Nice! I don´t think I have seen someone move in the creative direction you have gone with these. Could be a nice foundation for an overhaul.

What I like the most are the EW1 changes and your addon suggestions. The EW3 buff might be a bit much though.

Well, the reduction for the Vanity Mirror cannot be the same as the Scratch Mirror. They are very different. The Scratch Mirror's wall hack has a MUCH better range. Why would anyone take the Vanity? There would have to be a greater difference between the two, i.e. the Vanity becomes less Rare to reflect it shorter range.

Maybe there is a bit of misunderstanding, Vanity Mirror in my change decreases the movement speed to 110% and Scratched Mirror to 105% (So it's the same Scratched Mirror as the current one we have), I should have probably written that there...

i love your lock of hair change

im not sure what vanity mirror needs to be usable but maybe that's it.

don't touch scratched mirror its perfect as is

ew3 needs much better buffs than that maybe wraith's cloak movement speed?

while having a built in use power button is always nice if you are looking at a suirvivor that is not downed you are probably at a good spot to use your power.

    5% for actions is nothing.

ew1 stats are fine maybe less evil to get to ew2

Ah... I may have misread. Yeah, as long as Spooky Myers (Scratch Mirror) is at 105 and Vanity is at 110.... sounds fine to me.

    Thank you!

I want to make it at least usable, decreasing the movement speed debuff to 110% from 108% sounds a bit better.

Since the movement speed got buffed to 110% in EW I, I reduced the movement speed back to 105% when using Scratched Mirror, so it's basically the same as we have now.

If EW III had the same speed as Wraith, that would have been kidna broken. (btw Wraith's base movement speed while Cloaked is 126%)

I gave him the button to remove the need of managing the stalk to 99%, so it works like Oni's power bar.

It's better than nothing I would say, I just wanted to make tiering up slightly more threatening.

That could also be good, but I chose the movement speed because I wanted people to also use EW I, not just to get to EW II as fast as possible.

Just remove Evil Within 1. Theres NO EXCUSE for a killer to be below 115% at any point without a movement based power. Good survivors know you're coming and can prevent a EW level up long enough by simply looping a rock or single pallet for 2-3 gens to get done. He still gets looped even in EW3 so why is he punished so hard at match start?

EW is outdated. Micheal is a relic of the past. Ghostface does everything he does better.

Vanity Mirror shouldn't have a movement penalty at all, to be honest. The aura reading range is pretty bad and it already comes at the cost of your main power. I have a collection of them building up, never to be used except for bp farming.

Regarding your take on movement speed, I think Myers is an edge case as 115% MS with perma undetectable would be too strong imo.

With the rest I can agree - there are basically only two reasons why he is played:

    • His power is super simple to use and understand, trade-off being one of the weakest powers
    • die hard Halloween fans that love the Character (I´m guilty of that)

It IS possible to use him effectively even in high ranks until you come across a decently strong SWF or extreme Solos. It takes insane amounts of effort, experience and skill though as with all the other M1 Kilelrs.
