PARAGRAPH XIII: Inner Perfection

Note 1: I'm not sure if I post in the right place, since Forum is a little bugged right now.

Note 2: I'm reusing some of my old perks that I posted before. They were not related to any of my chapters/killers, and I save a lot of time by using them instead of thinking of new ones. The only original perk is the last one.

Killer: Shiina Nakano, The Effigy

Lore: Perfection is everything. These words, taught to Shiina by her father, one of Japan’s Living National Treasures, were mercilessly repeated to her every day since she was born.

Her birth was a disappointment – her father said every time she made a mistake. Her father, a genius doll maker, was hoping for a male successor when he agreed to a marriage set up by the government. When Shiina was born instead, he did not hide his displeasure at all.

Nevertheless, he taught her his craft, although ‘taught’ may not be the right word. “Tortured” may be more appropriate, since he did not care if she learned anything or not. He ‘taught’ at a pace that Shiina couldn’t follow and punished her for every single mistake she made.

And as years went by, Shiina was turned into one of her father’s perfect dolls, with no mind of her own.

One day, while working together in the workshop, Shiina noticed a slight imperfection on her father’s face, either an effect of his inevitable aging or an illusion made by light and shadows. Either way, perfection is everything. She took a sharp tool in her hand and corrected the mistake. However, as her father thrashed around, the imperfection only grew bigger. Shiina held him down on the ground, intent on getting rid of the imperfection. Eventually, he stopped moving and Shiina went back to her own work.

When finished, Shiina waited for her father’s next instructions. But no matter how long she waited, no instructions would ever come again. And as she waited, darkness closed in on her and consumed her whole.

Power: Doll Master

Effigy starts the Trial in her Main Body in the Basement, with 10 Dolls randomly placed throughout the Trial Grounds. Press and hold the Active Ability button to control a Doll in view. After taking control of a Doll, Effigy’s Main Body is teleported back to the Basement.

Special Ability: Dolls

While controlling a Doll, Effigy moves at a reduced movement speed and has access to a special attack. Effigy can return to the Main Body at any time by pressing and holding the Active Ability button.

Dolls can be moved around by the Survivors, but while doing so Survivors are required to complete Skill Checks. Failing a Skill Check triggers a Loud Noise indicator and roots Survivor in place for a short time.

Special Attack: Doll’s Embrace

While controlling a Doll, press and hold the Power button to lunge a short distance forward. If the lunge makes contact with a Survivor, the Survivor is put into the Dying State and the Doll is destroyed. Effigy is then returned to the Main Body.

Perks

Perk 1: Hex: Exsanguination

A Hex rooting its power in despair. Your prey can do naught but wait for its inevitable demise.

After a Survivor has spent a total of 210/180/150 seconds in the Injured State, they gain Exposed Status Effect and You can kill them by Your own hand.

The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.

Perk 2: Heavy Strike

You know where to hit to shake them up.

Hitting a Survivor with a Basic Attack applies the Clumsy Status Effect for 30/45/60 seconds.

While suffering from Clumsy Status Effect, the next time Survivor starts a skillful interaction, they will be faced with 3 Skill Checks of increasing difficulty (moderately, considerably and tremendously difficult Skill Checks) over 5 seconds.

Clumsy Status Effect Skill Checks do not grant any bonus progression.

Failing Clumsy Status Effect Skill Check resets its effects, meaning Survivor will be faced with another 3 Skill Checks and duration will be reset to 30 seconds if it was lower than 30 seconds.

Succeeding in all 3 Skill Checks removes the Clumsy Status Effect.

*Perk 3: Domino Effect

When You put Survivor into the Dying State directly from the Healthy State, gain a 3/4/5% Haste Status Effect for 15 seconds.

This effect stacks up to a maximum of 3 times.

After the effect ends, Auras of Survivors in the Dying State are revealed to You for 3 seconds.
