My *BIG* fix for DS and Tunnel

Here is my fix to current DS and Tunneling problem..

New Status Effects

  • 'Broken Hands' Survivors fixing generator speed is slowed by 90%.
  • 'Blessing' Picking Survivor in that time will trigger skill check for them to escape.
  • Names of these effects is just to make things easier to read. I couldn't came up with better names sorry.


  • After Survivor getting unhooked BOTH status effects active for 30 sec.
  • Killer hooking someone else (while Survivor Not in dying state) will deactived 'Blessing' effect.
  • After all 5 generators is done both status effects will not be activated anymore.
  • 'Blessing' Skill Check will only appear if Killer picked Survivor from ground. Being graped from Locker/Generator/Window will not trigger the Skill Check.
  • 'Blessing' can be used multiple times not only once per trail.


perk change

Decisive Strike: While you in dying state Press E to increases 'Blessing' effect for extra 20/25/30 sec. Can be used only once per trail.


Why THese changes?

  • Trying to fix DS with ideas like the ones up there is too much for 1 perk, So moving it to be a Status Effect make much more sense.
  • Tunneling is the worst thing can happen to survivors, This will help them to counter it without using any perks.
  • Blessing can be used only for defence. Unlike current DS.
  • Because unhooked Survivor have chance to escape, And also he have 'Broken Hands' effect it will encourage/reward Killers to chase other Survivors. which lead to better gameplay for both sides.
  • New Perks or Killer addons can be added about these 2 new status effects.


I wish to hear your thoughts about this, And why you agree or don't agree with it.

    30 seconds is way too little.

    With the 90% slowdown, I would go as far as to let the survivor decide when to deactivate the status effect, because you're practically useless in the game while it is active. Maybe it could also automatically deactivate when another survivor is hooked, though. But overall, a pretty good idea

    I think a temporary fix for DS would be to just make Enduring effect DS until the devs finally revisit the perk

    It used to but they felt it hard countered it to much and made headon completly useless. (Was kinda the point of the perk though and now its only used with spirit fury) another perk that coincidentally countered ds but doesnt anymore was unnerving yet that got "fixed" to.

    30 sec because it can be used multiple times not once, Also as you said more than 30 of not working on gens is way too much.

    Removing 'slow repairing' effect and just make it when survivor touch gen deactive the other status effect it can work too! But i just wanted to reward killers for playing fair without them worrying to be gen rushed for it.
