Does Blighted Corruption ignore exposed status?

I just had an Ace in my match trigger Dragon's Grip, and I subsequently hit him in well under a minute after his scream. I hit him while in Blighted Corruption, yet he was not downed - only injured. Unless Felix has the same scream as Ace, am I missing something? The other two survivors were a Claudette and Nancy.

Exposed only affects basic attacks

So his own perk doesn't even mesh well with him. Nice. Thanks!

not necessarily, you still have the mobility to catch up to the person and go after them normally, it just doesn't have positive synergy with his power
