Corrupted survivor as killer?

I'm new to reading up on the lore and saw this the other day "What am to become of me? Have the killers started out at this campfire too? I bid this journal adieu. I must focus on staying alive." That got me thinking, what if the survivors become corrupted over time by the entity and turned into killers? Would love to be hooked by a half mutated/darker version of baby dweet.

Nope. Survivors are food, and when they become lifeless husks they get thrown into the Entity's trash can (the Void).

The single factor in determining what you are after entering the Fog was whether you escaped into it as a means of staying resolute, or as a means furthering your descent into madness. A lot of Killers could potentially have been Survivors if they weren't motivated by revenge.

    That is actually interesting

Blight was a survivor (of sorts). It stands to reason that some of the survivors might go insane and start killing their fellows.

It’s also interesting imagining how 4 survivors would team-up simultaneously to surround the killer (could depend on the killer... Doc with his shock, for example would be a challenge, or Oni due to the size, etc.) and knock them down, maybe stuff party starters in their mouth to incapacitate them a bit, set them on fire with all the gas in the generators combined with the torches around the realms, take their weapon and bludgeon them relentlessly into a pile of fleshy pulp... possibly even hook them.

The game stereotypes survivors (in-match) as weak, vulnerable, fearful creatures; some of which go against their personalities provided in the lore.

I could see 4 survivors joining together to physically attempt to stop the threat instead of just running away and throwing pallets.

Must be some unspoken entity rule that they have to appear pathetic and helpless, idk.

On the contrary it would be interesting to have failed killers become survivors. Rin’s (Spirit) father comes to mind.

No, he was corrupted before coming into the Fog, like (almost) every other killer. No killer so far has been an ex-survivor who became corrupted post-abduction.

The reason why survivors can't be corrupted (lore-wise) is quite simple: the Entity needs survivors who won't give up on trying to escape to go up against killers who won't stop trying to kill them. Survivors are taken because they can't be corrupted, can't be convinced to surrender or "defect" to the other side, so they'll just keep playing the trials and feeding the Entity.

If you need an explanation, one could say the entity gives super human abilities (strength, endurance and more) to the killers, so they are not really "human" anymore. I mean, the nurse literally breaks pallets with her mind.

Also, I don't understand this desire some people have that the survivors should fight back... that would change the whole dynamic of the game.

I always hoped someday we'll get a chapter with a Survivors past self before what ever event happened to turn them and a corrupted future version of them from a different timeline or something.

Grimes was as messed up as any other survivor and was heavily repentant for his actions. Not exactly the best choice of murdering psychopath.
