Calm spirit is a must!
Between all killers running infectious fright and BBQ calm spirit is a necessity. Also with killers such as the doctor and blight you need it to keep quiet from screaming. What other perks do you guys run out of curiosity?

I remember back when i reluctantly tried Make Your Choice instead of Save The Best For Last.
I'm now never going back to STBFL.

Wait, does BBQ have any interaction with calm spirit?

The only thing that can counter that a little bit is distortion. Honestly that perk needs a buff since killers run BBQ with hex undying which makes hex ruin the pain in the ass before they reworked it all over again! Hex Undying needs a nerf!

I don't know if Hex Undying needs a nerf per se. Outside of the Undying + Ruin combo you're probably not going to see too much of Undying really. So if they ever do determine this Undying + Ruin combo is a little overpowered they should do a more surgical change that specifically impacts just that combo and not Undying overall. (One possibility would be to change Ruin to start with a number of tokens on it equal to the number of dull totems on the map and have its regression strength be proportional to the number of tokens. That way if Undying brings Ruin back it comes back at minimal strength.)

Calm spirit isn't good at high tier play, because good survivors don't give a ######### if the killer knows where they are.

Calm spirit would have a lot of value, with a buff and some changes to killer perks, for making survivors scream.
We have to check again, what counters: Freddy (bloodpools), clown (gas bottles), doctor (madness), Trapper (stepping on a trap), infectius fright, dragon grip, deathbound, etc ...
My changes: add a +9% of speed bonus in healing, searching chests, cleansing totems and opening exit gates. And put for example, that Blood Echo makes injured survivors also scream.

How Does Blight make you scream? Are you talking about his perk Dragon's Grip? Because I only ever use that on Pig. It's kinda wasted if you use it on Blight TBH.
As a rank 1 surv/killer I should say that at high ranks survivors don't care at all about their location being revealed. We WANT to get chased. It's how we have fun in matches. Calm Spirit is antithetical to that.
I should also mention that the true power of Calm Spirit is that you don't startle crows. Then again, only the best killers (Hi!) ever use crows to track survivors.

You do know what Undying is a gamble perk right.
I have tested Undying out with different hexes and no matter what hexess I tested with the main problem of if Undying gets destroyed first you lose it.
I have had Undying be destroyed first and then ruin leaving me with legitimately just two perks.
I've had Undying get taken out first when I was running it with haunted grounds basically destroying the whole plan of my build.
I don't think a gamble perk needs enough especially when it's a hex perk you know perks that are meant to be really powerful in return for the fact that they can be destroyed

No. But a popular build emerging is BBQ, Infectious, M&A or Distressing, and Iron Maiden, meaning survivors are damned within the TR, or damned getting into a locker to block BBQ. They’re revealed anyway. Calm Spirit completely breaks this killer strategy.

How is Dragons Grip wasted on Blight with how fast he can return to a gen?!
1 -
It's god-tier vs Doc, but you have a 1/21 chance of facing him. I haven't seen Infectious Fright so much since Hex: Undying released. Iron Will is more useful on average imo.

I've been doing Iron Will, Q&Q, Lightweight, and Dance With Me/Lithe/Urban Evasion/whatever.
Unfortunately, most of the maps I roll have few vaults, and fewer opportunities to break line of sight. This is especially compounded by Midwich being the map 50% of the time.

For some reason the last game I played with Calm Spirit and Trapper my character screamed anyways. I hope that was a bug and not intentional...

Yeah Distortion could start with 5 tokens and/or have a way to regain the tokens.
2 -
Lockers prevent screams and bbq and blight dosent make you scream?
1 -
And if you are talking about dragons grip. Wait you lose thats like saying you need calm to counter iron madein. And to counter a doc its a 1/21 chance

It's Got a 2 minute cooldown and it requires you to use a basic attack. I get most of my Blight hits with Lethal lunges.
Also it only lasts 30 seconds. Once smart survivors (i.e. the type of survivors I design builds around) realize you have it they'll just play around it.
Maybe other Blights are getting good use out of it, but I've been maining him since his release and I've found it pretty useless on him.

BBQ is easily countered using basic game mechanics and paying a small bit of attention, no perks required.
0 -
Survivors playing around it means you ARE getting use out of it. Survivors wasting 30 seconds every time a gen is hit, just so they can be absolutely sure they don’t get exposed creates significant stall
1 -
Well then you must suck as a killer if you need to know where all the survivors are. 🙄

First of all, I almost never play against infectious fright...maybe that's just a thing for me.
Second, I hate to break it to you but calm spirit is an objectively bad perk. I highly doubt you'll get much use out of it but to each their own.

With all the killers I've encountered using the new perk by the Blight that exposes you and makes you scream after a generator is touched tell me again that Calm Spirit is useless. Not to forget death bound.

I am not running calm spirit, i dont care that they know where i am. I want them to know where I am, i click, tbag and vault in order to make sure they know where I am.
Also did you know calm spirit will make you die faster? As you skip the scream on 2nd hook stage and go immediately into struggle. I don't know if that is still case but chances are that it hasn't been fixed.

Finally someone who has a Brian lol so far the only screaming perk or add-on that's not affected by calm is MYC
But I remember the first time played against a doc and he lost me so many times in a chase or my fave running Tec calm and im doing a gen right next to the killer trying to find me I'm getting shocked though the shack walls but he can't find me do the gen and he still don't find me till endgame

Using calm spirit to counter perks that may not even be used isn't a very good choice. Not mentioning that death bound isn't a very good perk either. And I never said it was USELESS.
0 -
I dont. The only info perk I use is BBQ, and i use that for bloodpoints. Calm spirit is bad, because good survivors want to be chased. And how does knowing that calm spirit is bad make me bad as killer?
0 -
Death bound isn't good, and if you can't loop for a minute against most killers you're just bad.
0 -
You must suck as survivor if you hide.
0 -
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
0 -
No idea what youre laughing about. Survivors aren't even MEANT to hide, my guy.
0 -
Op, I agree with your statement if you are facing rank 1 infectious fright oni and nurse.. the probability of facing these makes calm spirit worth it, Imo
0 -
I've been giving Calm Spirit a test out and I have to say it has been worth having.
0 -
I played against a doctor that ran infectious fright, iron maiden, save the best for last, and deathbound so tell me that perk is useless 🙄
1 -
Unless he runs iron maiden which they have been a lot lately.

Calm Spirit doesn't effect BBQ at all, it only negates Infectious Fright and a few Killer (Freddy, Clown, Doc) powers. And the crows ofc.
Whenever a Surv is running that Perk against me, he/she is most likely very chilled. And i appriciate that.
0 -
Why does that make calm spirit good? As I said, good survivors don't care if theyre found, making it worthless at high tier play. Calm spirit is bad.
0 -
I'm not the best Looper (although I am working on it), so I prefer to avoid as many chases as possible. Calm Spirit works for me.
