PSA: Helpful tip for Console players
This is my first month of the Game. I am enjoying it.
Something I have learned that console players may not know. If you are hit in the first 30 seconds of the game, it is ok not to quit the game right away. Getting near 100 hours of play, and I see my fair share of disconnects, but 90% are from Console players, and I thought maybe these players didn't know, you aren't forced to quit if the killer sees you or hits you. You can also not give up on the hook the first time you are hooked.
You are welcome for this news.

Here we go.
You know that the globe icon also means Windows Store users too, right? I'm also an Xbox player, and I've seen more disconnects from globe icons than I have on Xbox in general.
We've also been trying to end the stupid PC vs. Console wars on here because, surprise surprise, it was proven that PC players aren't as high and mighty as a lot of them made themselves seem!

Where do I start? Ok got it.
- Stop generalizing, its so annoying
- Stop trying to start conflict between platforms, we already have the killer v survivor war, we can't' afford another
- You have like 100 hours in the game, my guess is you haven't hit purple or red ranks, and let me tell you from my experience. Down at that level, every platform has way more dcs than at the top.
- Everyone knows you shouldn't dc after a hit, some people just don't care.
- No one asked you to do this, and it is frowned upon to insult another platform due to your experience.
- Direct your anger at the player, not the platform

I love how both of us literally said basically the same thing

I was surprised. It is quite good.

Wow I've received warnings from mods for far less... and mine were just comments made in good humor. You made a thread just to trash console players 🤭. Did you look at the rules regarding respect? Well thank you for the "PSA" I'll inform the other 2 that still haven't disabled cross play to avoid your style of ignorance.

I have gotten jailed for far less as well

Right? It was hard not to see the good humor in mine... It wasn't nearly this condescending and presumptuous.

Someone didn't read the handbook.
You DC if:
- The killer is tunneling meeeee
- They are an M1 killer with an instadown
- All the gens are done under 5 minutes
- They have a mori and use it on first hook
- They're like trying to do a challenge and you don't want them to finish it because reasons
- They didn't kill you if you dc'd. PizzOWNED
- It's Legion
- It's Spirit
- It's Deathslinger
- It's all Neas
- Oops, all Blendettes
- It's Hadonfield
- It's The Game

It wouldn't be a platform if no one played on it

Preach brother, I hate these threads that are trying to divide the community even more.

The argument "Globe Icon does not have to mean Console" does not really work. It works for Console players when they see a Globe, because it can be another Console Player on a different Console OR a PC-Player. But when it comes to PC-Players, it is very likely that a Globe means it is a Console-Player. Since Crossplay between Windows Store and Steam was enabled I have seen like 3 Windows Store-Players.
Of course this does not mean that Console Players DC more often than PC-Players, I have not seen that so far. But a Globe for a PC-Player will mean that it is a player from Console in 99,99% of all cases.

It is a possibility still, and that was the point.

Another ignorant condescending post making fun of console players for existing.

And in my 700 hours of experience I would say to kindly keep those comments to yourself
Why does it matter at (Bad Word) all

Imagine being this opinionated after a month of playing.
I’m a rank 1 survivor and killer and I’ve played with and against XBOX and PC survivors / killers. I’ve never once felt inadequate around either of them.
I could make a thread every time I see a PC player disconnect from my match, but unlike you, I understand that every platform has its fair share of bad eggs and pointing fingers gets you nowhere.
And before anybody says “hOw Do YoU kNoW tHEy WeReN’t On XbOx?!?” - I google search the names and find people’s Steam profiles.

DCing is not solely on console players or any specific platform - it's a individual who decides to do disconnect from the game. The platform does not tie to the platform they play on.
Generalizing a group of players isn't the way to go.
