What about a Hex: Retribution for survivors?
Nothing too fancy, just a perk that shows the survivor the killers aura when they break a totem. Maybe cleansing a Hex totem also shows the entire team the killers aura, in keeping with the Retribution theme.

Thing is, Retribution can be disabled, so how would this work as a survivor perk? One totem and that's it?

Maybe something like:
After cleansing a Dull Totem the aura of the Killer is shown to you for 4/5/6 seconds, cleansing a Hex Totem reveals the auras of every Survivor aswell as the Killer's aura for the same duration.

I don't mean an actual Hex perk, just an Inner Strength style, you-get-rewarded-for-cleansing-totems perk.

Bit useless to be frank.
You're spending 6 seconds to get 6 seconds of aura? I might have something if it were all survivors see the aura or and the aura of the killer's possessions, but you'd be better off with Spine Chill at that point.

Who said 6 seconds? It could be 15. Or 30. The beauty of a perk like this is that the duration of the reading can be adjusted to bring it from underpowered to overpowered.

It sounds... alright on the face of it but it seems like it'd be outclassed by Alert, which doesn't necessarily have a hard limit on how many times it can activate per trial and doesn't require going out of your way to prime it.

This kind of perk either becomes monstrous in it's strength or useless. Look at any other perk that shows the aura, the range is between 4-6. If you're talking about 15-30 seconds of absolute knowledge of a killer, you're basically giving survivors unlimited surveillance between Object of Obsession and "Reconnaissance". That's why I said all survivors or the killer and it's possessions. One gives you and the time a solid idea of where the killer is, at the cost of time and resources. The other gives you a solid idea of the killer's position and their traps. Simply getting the aura would make it too weak until it was too strong in conjunction with other perks and SWF.

Boom! Another idea came into my head.
While cleansing a totem you see the Killer's aura.
The Killer needs to be within a 32/40/48 meter range to be revealed.
(Could also increase the totem cleansing speed so you would get less value from it)
