Should Bloodlust be Gained by Breaking Pallets?

I was wondering if instead of chase time being the requirement for gaining bloodlust, it should be breaking pallets during chase. This will reward killers for the time they took breaking the pallets, it will eliminate bloodlusting around dropped pallets, it'll force survivors to move to another area, and it'll reduce situations where the killer has no choice but to commit to the loop.

This will make survivors rethink whether they should drop the pallet or take the hit/down. And it will create a sense of urgency to leave the pallet rather than stay and wait for the killer to break it (looking at you, tbaggers and pointers, lol) Plus, IMO it fits more with the "Bloodlust" theme since the survivors are actually making it hard for the killer to get to them by putting an obstacle in the way, gaining speed when breaking the pallet gives the killer this "you're gonna get it now!!" feeling.

I'm bringing this up since there are many players that are bothered by the "looping simulator" that the game sometimes feels like (myself included). By gaining speed when breaking pallets instead of losing it, survivors gain distance, but killers get a small buff in return, making subsequent loops shorter.

The numbers and tiers stay the same (capping at 3 tiers), the thing that changes is that you no longer gain BL with time, you gain it by breaking pallets mid-chase, and lose it by hitting or losing the survivor.

IMO this would be a nice little buff for killers.

EDIT, PLEASE READ!!! : I realized that with this change window loops will be incredibly overpowered, so the idea would change so that pallet breaking DOES NOT remove BL. The BL gain from chase duration will remain.

    Bloodlust is fine as is.

    Bloodlusts goal is to make chases not last too long, complicating it with pallets when the bloodlust we have is simple yet effective doesn't make much sense imo.

    This change doesn't redefine the purpose of Bloodlust, its purpose will still be for ending chases faster. But I can now see why it wouldn't be too good for t walls or tiles with multiple windows, maybe a better change would be to make breaking pallets not remove BL.

    I'd be happy with just not removing bloodlust when a pallet is broken, and then maybe either slightly increasing the time needed for a bloodlust stack or slightly reducing the movement speed buff to compensate if needed

    Right? Cuz right now breaking pallets is just a lose-lose action for killers. You waste time, you lose distance, the only ones gaining an advantage for killers breaking a pallet are survivors.

    Personally, I'd keep the speed buffs the same after breaking the pallets, unless they made breaking pallets faster the higher the BL tier, then that would be a fair exchange.

    The issue with this suggestion is that windows are already the best type of loop due to being infinitely reusable.

    This would make them stronger as window loops don't have pallets so killers can't blood lust.

    Keep in mind you have the "House of Pain" loop which is an already near infinite window loop against Huntress/Deathslinger with the current blood lust mechanics and would be an outright infinite with these changes.

    Maybe instead of giving it is speeds it up. Like every second is 2 for bloodlust or something like that.

    yeah I noticed that and mentioned it in a previous comment. So my idea would slightly change to "stop pallet breaking from resetting BL"

    I agree with the edited form. If bloodlust is supposed to prevent long chases, then losing it for breaking a pallet is kinda dumb. I always thought that. Would help with the gen time/map design problem a little as well.

    exactly! What's the point of adding a chase shortening mechanic if it can be reset by removing chase lengthening obstacles...
