New players thoughts
Only been playing for 5 days now and while I haven't gotten very far into the game in terms of levels or amount of characters played, there are a few things I think could help improve the game. These are just my thoughts and are open to discussion.
1) In game voice chat of some sort. Whether this is just for the survivors or a proximity type system so the killer could hear them if they aren't careful as well; I just think having some way to communicate in game with people you haven't queued up with would be extremely beneficial. Another system could be walkie talkies that only work within a certain range and could also be affected by the Killers in various ways like the doctor causing them to short circuit or something.
2)This might just be personal, but making either the hits actually connect with my body or not deal damage. The amount of times where I get hit but the Killers weapon doesn't even touch me, or worse, hits a different object like a tree is way higher than it should be for such a limited amount of time played. I even had it one time where I was on the opposite side of a pallet after completing a slide and started running but then got grabbed back. It's to the points where it's too frequent to simply be lag.
3) Making ranks actually mean something. I know I'm not at the top of the leaderboard by any means but when there are rank 12's playing worse than rank 17/18's only three days before the reset, that's kind of a problem imo. You also have people who are playing for themselves and not as a team and they are able to progress causing team players at higher ranks to suffer because these selfish players were able to get to a higher rank than their play style. Not trying to shame, everyone learns at different rates as well as plays the game differently, but I don't think a survivor who never helps teammates, only goes for solo play and insta kill themselves on the first down should be halfway up the ladder in a 4v1 game.
4) Something that might help other new players stay on the game longer and eventually purchase something-adding a small little quest chain or challenge or something that will reward just enough in game currency to unlock a single character. This allows the player to then want to learn about all the characters and see all the different talents they can get by playing them making them want to continue to unlock them. Currently you have to grind or purchase a pack to get someone new on console which is often time not something new players want to do.(unless you actually look up info on the game online to see that the Huntress and David King are free packs; but this being said, I have 3 friends who have been playing this game for 2+ years and none of them knew they were free because it's never said) However if they had the currency after having to play the game for a while, it'll keep them engaged and wanting to find out more and keep playing.
5) Connected accounts across platforms. Another one that might be personal, but being able to share the same account on both my PC and my PS4 would definitely have me spending more money on the game. Currently I play with some friends on one and some on the other as well as sometimes just wanting to play a certain console, but if I were to spend money to try and get something cool, I'd have to choose and only be able to use that item for half my play time.
6) Adding a streamer mode. Something that won't really effect the majority of people but considering how many people stream this game it's kind of shocking there isn't already a streamer mode. I found this game through someone's stream and continue to watch more and more people's and quite a few, if not all, have to black their screen or have a place holder so they aren't stream sniped. Just think it'd be nice to add it in.
Again these are just my opinions, and I am still very new to the game.

1 might never happen. Devs don't want to do it. (Plus how would the Switch users do voice chat)
2: That is a killer VPNing (to get purposely high ping) to your region to get BS hits. Server Sided Hit validation test 3 might happen soon to counter that
3 there is a reward system coming here soon for ranks. Don't know when though
4 good luck on. Something they really need to deal with
5 Cross progression will only happen with Switch, Stadia, and Steam versions at the moment. Xbox and PS4 might get it. Depends on Microsoft (which apparently they are all for) and Sony (don't know with them)
6 that is what the Stadia version is SUPPOSE to do once the thing for it goes live.

Interesting, thanks for the reply and info. Have they said why they don't want to add voice chat?

As I stated, how would the Switch users do Voice Chat? Maybe that is part of the reason. And because it would mess with their spaghetti code
