I was NOT told that enabling cross-progression would take away the extra BP from Shrine of Secrets

Ever since linking my Steam account to a BHVR account, I can no longer use the shards I've saved up to buy Shrine of Secrets teachables I've already learned for extra BP. There was NO warning of this so I can only assume this is a bug.
