PC - Exit gates keep making the opening noise even when fully open

I use Steam to play on PC.
When the exit gates are opened they make a "rattling" sound effect that stops when they finish opening. I recently played a game where after the exit gates were opened, the rattling noise continued, even when the gates had stopped moving. Immediately after the gate was opened a totem was cleansed although I have no idea if that had anything to do with it.
I was playing as Meg with the perks Iron Will, Kindred, Balanced Landing, and Dead Hard. The map was the Disturbed Ward. This has only happened once.
