Theory: The Observer is Felix Richter's Father
When Felix was a kid, his father was abducted by the Entity when he and several other members of their secret society saved Felix and his friends from the same fate. Years later Felix was abducted anyways in the same spot.
The Observer seems to have been rescued by the Entity from the Void for some reason to view other people's memories. He seems to have no memory of the time before this or of his previous life before being taken (if I'm wrong here, please correct me).
The time between Felix's father's disappearance and the appearance of the Observer allows ample time for him to be a survivor sufficiently long enough to lose hope and be discarded into the void and then later re-emerge as the Observer. Even without this, time is fluid enough in DBD for this not to matter.
They also both bear somewhat of a resemblance according to the face reveal we recently got. Hair color is different, but for all we know Felix's mother is blonde.
It's an intriguing possibility for sure and, if true, could set up something interesting down the line. What do you guys think?

I don't think so. In the first memory of the first Tome Observer says he was banished to the Entity's world. As if he didn't go there himself. Felix's father got inside the Entity trying to save his son. I kinda think, he knew about consequences.
Second thing here is that Felix lore never mentioned Auris.
And finally, Observer is from Terra Prime. It's one of the most ancient worlds, as it's name suggests. And people there know about Entity and some of them, like Observer, have ability to manifest. Like create stuff from nothing like Observer does with whiskey. Here come another two arguments:
1) Entity is attracted to the ignorant worlds. Terra Prime which is home of Observer couldn't be called ignorant.
2) Entity is trying to ignore people with ability to manifest, they are poisonous for her. She wouldn't kidnap Felix's father if he had that ability.

I don't think that the observer is his father since the observer (a.k.a alion) saw the entity destroy his world him and his people saw the entity destroy their world before they were snatched into the trials
