The window map tech is disgusting lol
I’ve been using it and honestly it’s not let me down yet it’s a big mind ######### for killers and fun to use

I love it when survivors try to window tech me. It saves me the walk.
With more experience you can see much more. There is a ton of visual information on screen. A shadow for a split second, moving grass, a crow that starts flying in the distance. Was there a face at the bottom of the screen?
Against killers who have enough hours, these tricks don't work anymore.
However, moving left and right, 360 or survivors that run up to me and disappear for a second sometimes still confuse me.

It's a bad tech. Once people start finding out you'll just see someone with a map and know to look the other way when vaulting. Free hits.

Honestly, while it does seem pretty exploity, it has the same counterplay as a normal window tech. Look one way, move the other.

Yeah, this seems way too exploit-y and it probably isn’t a great idea to keep it in the game. It looks too much like cheating.

Hackers find the tiny holes in games.
Someone with the same mindset must've done the same thing, but instead of hacking they're more like play-testers, using only the in-game tools.
Someone found out you could once stack Perks with quick clicks, someone found out you once had a Survivor-only safe spot on top of Disturbed Ward, someone found out- you get the point.

tried in kyf with a friend. You pretty much see they're doing it, specially when you use a small killer or the survivor is male

You'll be surprised how much it works in-game though. A lot of killers play this game on autopilot. Not only the reason they lose because they're not thinking about what the best course of action is, but it's also the reason these techs still get into "survivor juke compilation number 593".

It works on good killers too because they didn't expect it before with there being no timing but now that they've seen it if you have a map and vault a window someone is gonna double check now , so probably from here on out that only works on newbies who aren't aware but it was a really strong tech

So, with the default Window Tech, you have to hit a specific point in the animation right where the killer loses collision and getting the timing wrong will get you hit. This basically removes that timing, and it's not with with window techs. You can run through a killer at any time; when they're walking, breaking a pallet, etc. It means you can't be bodyblocked by the killer, ever (and also can't bodyblock whilst doing this but we don't focus on that). This can also be performed with a key, provided you're Mind Channeling.

Oh literally, channel a map or a key and run at the killer. That's it. They vault a window, you use the map/key, and you go through them even when they should have collision. They're breaking a pallet? Cool, run into them using the map/key and literally run through them.

This...looks like an exploit.
Much like the spots on the farm maps where you can crawl when downed that make you impossible to pick up.
