killers being extra toxic?
is it me or has killer toxicity gone up since dc penalties are back im seeing way more tunneling/camping/face camping and just over all scummy plays is it cause you guys think survivors wont dc with penalties? i was in a game where i was tunneled off a hook downed before I could even get out of the unhook animation couldnt move yet and insta downed granted the idiot who unhooked me didnt have BT but randos you can never trust and killers just take advantage of someone elses mistake on another survivor why punish the person fresh off a hook for a rando's stupidity its not enjoyable to be downed when you cant even move cause ur stuck in animation

Shhhhsh dont say that here because a lot of killer mains gonna be offended..

Its not toxic to camp or tunnel.
Please dont use bad words like this.. Also wounder why they didnt got cencored tho.
5 -
If you can't get away after you've been hooked, that's your problem. It's not tunneling when you're so bad you can't get away after first hook.

You are part of a team, they make a mistake and the killer punishes the team for it. Whether you are on the receiving end of the punishment or not is not them being toxic. It sounds like you are angry at the wrong person.
Each side will punish the other side if they make mistakes and people are somewhat decent. Just the nature of the game.

Also, in b 4,
Inhales
Aktually, those aren't reflective of the....insert meaningless trite about how the most upper half percent of ranked killers get trolled.

What do those stats have to do with anything?
We should buff nurse, since she's the weakest killer in the game statistically.
15 -
lol!
Fine, want something topical to your derailed topic, here ya go.
Nurses are one of the hardest killers to play, I bought her, immediately regretted the purchase. Every skilled Nurse I have played was an absolute ######### to attempt to survive, died nearly everytime - I'm insanely jealous of their skill to be able to use the blink ability, I can't do it.
My two cents: If you master her, you'll easily coast from hook to hook from what I've seen. I only wish I could figure out the timing. No buff needed, just the ability to read the word "Hard" on the character select screen.

Camping and tunneling are no more toxic than looping or body blocking. They are ways of playing the game that have contextual tactical value.
And what is, in my opinion, making killers toxic is the insane prevalence of smurfcomps abusing survivor matchmaking protections to endlessly grief and roll lowbie killers.
Survivors seem to expect to be able to taunt, teabag, stall out the game and deliberately derank without penalties, while expecting killers to adhere to some outdated concept of politeness.

apparently you're blind or illiterate and missed the part where it says I was stuck in the animation of being unhooked where I couldn't move at all and got insta downed maybe learn to read before you comment

Yeah... Ppl like u are why they should never release stats. Even when I agree with some of your posts. U make me want to just prove u wrong.
There's a few things that don't matter about those numbers. U don't know what those numbers include, what systems they're from or anything really but none of that even matters. The most important fact is that those stats are probably lifetime stats. Lifetime stats don't matter at all to the current balance of the game. U could have a 50 percent escape rates right now and you'll still never ever see a 50 percent escape rate in the life time stats.

Why would it have to do with DC penalties?
I would rather think it has to do with the recent rank reset. Just play on til higher ranks and this should get less. I get tunneled too but mostly by baby killers who can't pressure without tunnelcamping.

It's funny you mention the "team" aspect cause all these killers complain about SWF and comms and what not when it is a team game
3 -
na its red ranks right now they playing like they forgot how to kill without having to do toxic plays
2 -
Didn't even take like 2 minutes for someone trying to use these statistics in a discussion lol
3 -
I'm going to tell every person who uses those stats that nurse should be buffed, the stats are so annoying and flawed.
2 -
Nah,i don't see any difference at all tbh.
1 -
"killer's just take advantage of someone's else mistake"
What do you want them to do, let you get away?
9 -
Yeah, releasing those kind of stats is just adding fuel to this silly "us vs. them" mentality.

5 blinks base, 115% movement speed, the ability to fake her ability next patch.

Add a cooldown bar and we have a deal

I play Survivor and Killer and I've noticed no difference in Killer behavior since the penalties came back. The only change I've noticed is fewer people disconnecting.

I can't tell from your post but his was obviously sarcasm. I don't know if you were being sarcastic or if hard was on the label next to his post.

Revert the slight changes though. 😘

We both have the same screenshot lel.

Toxicity is refering to people as "dumb #########" for playing the game. Ok they didn't play it well but seriously, you are complaining about in game toxicity while holding an attitude like that toward the game, it will be toxic to you no matter what takes place.

Nope.

Yes, this also happened when they first got implemented. They're just contributing to the endless cycle that is the us vs them mentality in this community.

Survivors getting farmed off hook is clear advantage to killer and any killer that takes advantage is fueling the ds unbreakable meta.

A team is not just a SWF lol. You're all survivors...
COMMON GOAL=SURVIVE.
SURVIVAL ALONE=HARDER and more work per Survivor.
Therefore a team with or without comms =TEAM

It is a 4v1 game, whether or not you are in a group has nothing to do with the current complaint or that you aren't in a premade team.
Don't act like SWFs with their coms don't complain about tunneling and camping. It is the coms part that isn't supported in the game that killers complain about, not the premade group aspect of it... since the game isn't balanced around the info that coms provide. Yet that is a different topic.

Do bones.

So it would be my fault for being hook farmed? Mine those rocks in your head for diamonds buddy I bet they've been there long enough to create them.

I am a killer main, but also play survivor a lot and tbh, I see waayy more toxicity coming from survivors towards the killer, and not the other way round. But hey, it's just my 2.3k hours of experience.
2 -
i'm yet to have a single game without survivors t bagging at some point.
Always just before they escape, no matter how i play the game.

The action itself is nowhere near toxic. However the intent is. If you camp or tunnel in an effort to make someone mad, or prevent them from even playing the game you are toxic.

I'm not so sure I agree killer toxicity has increased. In fact, the last round I played was against Ghost Face (arguably the most obnoxious killer for me) who actually took me to the hatch after a rather epic set of chases. Also, multiple killers I've chatted with post-match have been really nice! And when I play as killer I aim to be as positive as possible.
I cannot say I've come across true toxicity that match. If I'm unhooked and accodentally find my way in front of a killer, I shouldn't expect to be ignored. If my team mates all try to get me unhooked, effectively forcing the killer to stay close, that's just common sense by the killer. I've not come across a killer that truely tunnels (chases and ignores all other gens or survivors for that one kill). Well, there was one, but in fairness it was a daily to sabotage 2 hooks, and the Huntress was rightly unimpressed at my antics. I deserved that.
Toxicity is subjective, but has strong links to people assuming they know why someone acts a certain way, people's ability to remember negative over positive memories, general frustration and being unaccountable for their own actions. There are genuinely toxic killers out there, as there are survivors. I just have severe doubts it is the true epidemic that it's often made out to be, and is perhaps as much about misreading what is happening.

Tunneling and camping are legitimate strategies. I play both sides and don't get too upset when im camped or tunnelled out. I run breakdown to try and help me evade the tunnelling tacticians.
1 -
Yea but thats pretty rare, atleast for me. Almost always, when someone camps or tunnel, its because they want to win.
1 -
This was years ago, if it's always been free, then I'm just plain wrong. But I sworn I had purchased her.
1 -
I think the toxic level seems higher cause the DC penalty came alongside the Rank Reset. People already get scummy on reset day... it just added up.

Sis, just blend. Best way to play DBD at the moment. Play normal for normal killers, then blend for killers and give them the long games they crave.

I’m not a Nurse player at all, but I’d give her a shot if they’d remove her screen darkening after her blinks and fix her bugs.

This.
Also the brain rot being displayed by some people on this thread is both the most hilarious and depressing ######### I've seen in a while.
1 -
They have provided clarification...
2 -
Im not offended I will keep tunnel if u t bag and gonna DC if u bring OoO so no problem
1 -
It's pretty embarrassing that people tried to use those statistics as some sort of balancing statement when it was pretty clear that the numbers don't represent normal gameplay.
The only people that rushed to do do were the ignorant and the extremely biased.

There are toxic people on both sides.. The problem is not the role but mankind itself... I've met people who liked to be killer and survivor and had fun making people angry. It's sad but it does exist.
1 -
If your team is farming you, it's not the killer being toxic.
