Instead of taking a ban entirely from matchmaking, I'd suggest something that is more punishing and annoying for the playerbase so that people was feel more restraint to dc'ing. Although, it could spark a lot of negative feedback and I'm up for it to happen.


My idea is low priority queues, similar to League, for the next 5-10 games, you will be put in a low priority queue, meaning that you will have to wait a longer time until you can find a game. Longer matchmaking is a curse so I'm almost sure that this will work for those who don't like waiting.


This means that instead of the matchmaking ban, matchmaking queue times will be longer and the user will have to endure it instead of going off for 5 minutes to make a snack.
