Why is everyone so unhappy with the generosity that BHVR is showing?
Everyone: Screw this event! I hate it, it how dare you BHVR.

No but, seriously please stop acting like BHVR doesn’t do so much for their players. It’s ridiculous.
PSA: for the echos who plan on running in here and repeating the same effortless insult/jab the last 6 people said; I understand why the people who paid the 21k shards are upset. They deserve their shards back or even the difference in which they paid subtracted in the discount it is now. This is directed to the people who are complaining about BP/Shard amounts given not being enough and the fact that the skins require patience to get this time around. NO I DO NOT THINK THIS EVENT IS GREAT. Never did I ever state that. If you haven’t spent a dime and are complaining about free skin/currency you are exactly who I’m addressing here. Okay? Okay.

It’s because of entitlement.
There isn’t as much free stuff as previous events. I.e. directly earned from the Halloween event.
They’re ignoring every other free thing from rifts over the past 12 months.

The main complaint is lowering the price of the blight clothes a couple of days after their release. Many people feel ripped off having paid full price. I mean who would expect it? They had never had a sale like that before 😢

the stuff from the free track of the rift nothing really there a lot of blank spots and if you talking about the whole rift that not free.

Yeah they were like 21,000 for an outfit and a couple of days later (after there release) they are now 9,000.
I didn't get ripped off personally but I feel real bad for those that did.

Doesn’t matter if theres a lot of blank spots, you pay NOTHING and you get stuff for it. Never met people who complain about free stuff until I played this game.

Before you tell people how good BHVR is maybe you should look up WHY people are so upset in the first place.

Ye same here, that’s definitely something to be mad about. Glad I wasn’t online on the first day of the skin releases.
Everything else that people are complaining about is kind of unnecessary.

The other main complaint is that 2 charms can only be got with a code by watching a streamer. The codes only good for 10 uses so most people watching all day and not able to type code in time. Mainly poor console users who don't have a keyboard.

BHVR is good. They do a lot for their player base as said earlier.

I saw complaints about not enough shards/bps. Should be bumped also. Also people are saying that they want the free cosmetics back.

They're so generous that they only gave people stuff AFTER the community was up in arms about the "event". Just so that the community would get a sense of accomplishment. They think about the playerbase so much that they wanted to foster some unity and comradery between killers and survivors.
Definitely not BHVR putting out a half-assed halloween event where pretty much the only thing players could do was to buy overpriced outfits and then acting like it was their own idea to "fix" it, just like they do their perks. How dare people suggest that devs are being greedy and lazy. The nerve of them!

Well it wasn't some dastardly plan or anything like that. They were trying, on the fly, to come up with something to give back while still keeping an eye on their bottom line. So they reworked the event to give us lots of BP and Shards, and reduced the cost in Shards for the new Skins. The only unconsidered aspect of this was the people who had immediately bought the Skins unaware how rapidly they would come on sale.
A lot of people, conspiracy theorists mostly, think this was some sort of dirty trick, when it was simply a reaction to the community response. I fully expect those people who paid full price to get some sort of compensation once the company figures out a win/win way to do it. People just don't have any patience anymore, and want to play the victims and scream at the first opportunity.

Probably bloodpoints or something equally useless. As far as actual $'s back, never gonna happen.
I remember when Ash's DLC came out people were screaming conspiracy that they waited for enough people to buy the DLC before fixing MoM. Who knows if they really intended that. I will say the fact they put MoM in here and failed to predict it would break the game speaks how well they know their own product.

Also another complaint was that random people (me included) were given 1,000 auric cells before the new rift came available. So some people were able to get it for free....where other had to buy it themselves. I'm still confused about what happened there.
There are Blight costumes on the rift so its like some people get to work for them for free where others can't.
This event has been kinda whack compared to others, I think.

I preferably like the older days with the Summer BBQ event/Hallowed event where you just gather plants to buy two cosmetics, but I’m also not complaining about this one considering I get free BPS/Shards/Cosmetics/Free Rift Progression and I have better things to complain about; for example: THE FPS ON CONSOLE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD NOW D;

You think giving players a damage control reward is generosity? Bhvr has been treating the community like garbage for years and you think they care about us? I don't believe them doing damage control for the outrage of the non-event is exactly generous.
What even is the event? Some skins that you have to pay for. So the event is basically "yeah give us money". How generous.
If people weren't so upset about there being no real event for Halloween in a horror themed game, we'd be getting nothing right now.
Not to mention the people who got kinda screwed by the price reduction. The people who showed support despite what happened got hit the hardest, feels bad.

I actually like the event, but I get where people are trying to get when they say its bad.
Pros
- 3 new fun event add-ons (personally I liked all of them, once you get the hang out of the blighted compound it is really fun)
- Return of the putrid cankers (or whatever they are called) with rifts related to them. (I know many people did not like that but I am actually enjoying it)
- free shards and BP
Cons
- Update releases absolutely broken
- No way to initially earn cosmetics for free (at least not in an easy way) when previous events had a way to get them with putrid serum
- Devs add a way to earn them... with discounted shards and much later; Then forget people already payed full shard price for them, which enrages the community

Be grateful to your friends, to your family. Be grateful to strangers who are nice. Never, ever, under any circumstance, be grateful to a corporation or a brand. They are not people. The individuals in them are people, so be grateful to those people if they're nice to you. But not to BHVR as a whole. It is an entity, not an individual.
Even if you wanted to, be "appreciative" of the right things, like making a great Halloween event that's at least as good as previous year's, now that BHVR has dramatically more money and manpower, a Halloween event (again, IN A HORROR GAME) should be the greatest month of the year for this game. But they just made some skins to sell, put a couple stinkflowers in each map, and sold us a new rift. Once they realized that didn't make people happy, they backpedaled hard, but didn't do so to make a good event, they took yet another lazy route: have some shards.
It's frankly pathetic. We should be having a super fun event full of Halloween goodness. Instead, I'm on the forum being told I should be thankful for them giving some free ######### mobile game-style currency after not making a Halloween event. Awesome. Next year's will be even better, I'm sure. Maybe it'll uninstall the game and charge me $50 for the honor.

The truth is that bhvr doesn't care about the community but if you wanna defend them for treating you like ######### then go ahead. But a good debate is always fun...for me...as long as it doesn't get toxic or anything.
