Candyman Chapter Idea revised
I posted this chapter idea w hike back but nobody really saw it so I revised and hopefully it doesn't die again. I really like this character and would love to see him in dbd.
New Chapter: Swarms of doubt
New map: Cabrini-Green
(This will be the Ann Maries floor and the floor above it. It will include the rooms of that floor and the mirror in Ruthie jeans bathroom that leads to the candyman's lair with the shrine and paintings and such.)
New Killer: The Candyman
Lore:
Daniel Robitaille, the son of a former slave became a successful shoe manufacturer. Daniel established a career as a painter and eventually commissioned to create a portrait of the virgin beauty Caroline Sullivan, a white woman with whom he fell in love. As their love steps boundaries Caroline gets pregnant out of wedlock, angering her father. He sends a lynch mob that cuts off Daniel's right hand and smears his body in honey, attracting a swarm of bees that sting him to death. He became an Urban legend, who would come and kill anyone who stands in a mirror and says his name five times. Non believers beware though, if he feels you have doubted him, he may come for you.
Power:
Retribution of the Doubted
You have become a feared legend and punish those who doubt you. The Candyman is able to place a certain amount of mirrors on the walls of the map. After placing the mirrors, he will be able to teleport to them. The auras of Placed mirrors are revealed to you in white. Survivors can sabotage mirrors, but the Candyman will be informed by a sound notification. There will be 5 mirrors randomly places on the map when candyman has spawned. He may move these or leave them as they are. His power will have a cool down of 30 seconds
Active Ability: Swarms
When the Candyman uses his active ability he will attack with a projectile of a swarm of bees. Survivors hit with the swarm will be injured and given the blindness effect for 30 seconds.
Perks:
Gen Swarm
The nature that destroyed you has become your friend and will aid you in your objectives. When you hook a survivor, all generators outside of your terror radius will be blocked by a swarm of bees for 15/25/35 seconds, and will regress by 5/7/10 percent.

Writing on the wall
Your legend will spread in any way possible. You become obsessed with one survivor. When you hit your obsession, any survivor within 10/20/25 meters of you will have their auras revealed to you for 2/3/5 seconds and will start to hear your chase music for 10/15/20 seconds.

Bonfires Curse
You have been deceived once before, it won't happen again. You become obsessed with one survivor. If your obsession is still alive when the exit gates are open this perk will activate. Your obsession is marked with the exposed status effect and will have their aura revealed to you for 2/3/5 seconds. If you hook your obsession the exit gate will be blocked for other survivors for 10/15/20 seconds or until they unhook the obsession or the obsession dies.

Candyman will stab survivors in the stomach with his hook,lifting them up to his face and opening his mouth. as he opens his mouth a swarm of bees will fly onto the survivors face and he will throw them to the floor as they squirm with bees on their face until they die.
New Survivor: Helen Lyle
Lore:
Helen is a grad student from Chicago, who had taken up researching urban legends and came across the legend of the Candyman. She had interviewed Freshmen about said legend; with one of the students telling her of a story about a babysitter who called to him. Eventually she finds out that the building block where she lives is the exact same as the ones on Cabrini Green. With this in mind, she has doubts about the Myth being true.Nevertheless, her curiosity gets the better of her, and alongside her friend and colleague Bernadette Walsh, the two women say Candyman's name five times into a nearby mirror. Although nothing happens, she finds herself having flashbacks. Helen is then greeted by the Hookman killer in a car park after she receives the printed versions of her picture that she had taken at Cabrini Green. As she continues researching into the Candyman, she finds out in one of her visits that the Cabrini Green estate is where The Candyman was supposedly last seen. She comes to the revelation that a woman and a local boy were killed there in his name sometime earlier. Eventually, her curiosity and need to know more about the Candyman becomes her achille's heel. Helen ends up getting caught up in a pile of objects in the center of the Cabrini Green Estate. She was there to rescue the baby for Anne-Marie after promising her life to Candyman. However, Candyman did not keep his promise of saving the baby, so she takes the baby and tries to escape the hookman. After giving the baby to Anne-Marie, she dies from the burns that she sustained in the aforementioned fire she tried so desperately to escape.
Perks:
Incapable
You are incapable of inflicting pain unto others. If you are the obsession, when in a chase, auras of survivors within 10/15/20 meters of you will be revealed. Your aura will be revealed to them as well. While this is active, survivors who see your aura will have their repair, sabotage, healing, mending, and exit gate opening speeds increased by 5/10/15 percent. This perk increases your chances of becoming the obsession.

He's not real
You can't let others' morale decrease in times of peril. If you are the obsession, When the killer is within 20/25/30 meters of you any survivor within 2/3/5 meters of you will be notified and their repair and healing speeds will increase by 5%. This perk will not be active during chases This perk increases your chance of becoming the obsession

Not this time
You've dealt with this killer before and know his moves. When the exit gates are powered, you will gain the haste status effect for 10/15/20 seconds. and will see the aura of the killer for 2/3/5 seconds.

(Another cool idea would be for candyman to have voice lines. Idk where they would fit but to hear the epic voice talking to you would be scary and cool imo)

Okay, so two of your survivor perks give a combined +20 percent gen repair speed bonus, and thats not including if we also add Prove Thyself to the mix, so...............no, absolutely not.

To be fair, both gen repair speed bonuses are mutually distinct from one another.. one is only active during a chase while the other can’t be active during a chase (if I am understanding it correctly)
i would be more interested in how the active ability (bee swarm) would be used?
The mirrors are pretty much Demos portals, so a greater distinction would be kinda nice.
