Memento Mori proposed rework
This is likely another post in a sea of memento mori posts but..
The memento mori's at the moment, but mostly the Ebony mori are offerings which do not fall in line with many other offerings being burnt which largly affect bloodpoints. The offerings that do affect the game really fall under two categories: survivor spawn location and ones that affect both sides.
The moris dont fall under this category being a sole benefit to the killer. Being someone who plays both killer and survivor i can say that i am not opposed to the concept of moris but i feel that they could have a better execution as the problem is going into a game, seeing a secret offering, spawning next to someone and knowing that you only have one hook this game as it is probably a pink mori.
The issue this faces is that players will be less altruistic as survivors, try only to rush gens because they know they will instantly be killed.
THE PROPOSED REWORKS
EBONY
The main issue is the Ebony mori which i believe should still allow you to kill any survivor but only if you have hooked them TWICE. this would still benefit the killer as a survivor on death hook could be killed on the spot without a risk of DS or other forms of rescue or breaking a hook. It would also mean survivors would still have time to make progress both for medals and for the match
CYPRESS
At the moment i feel there is not much value in cypress but no one will be opposed to the killer having it. To fit in line with the proposed change to ebony i would suggest being able to kill one survivor that has been hooked twice. it would help play into the secrecy of the moris as players wouldnt know if it was cypress or ebony after one kill
IVORY
I feel that ivory should be kept the same if the other changes were implemented as it would still be a unique, powerful mori but only be single use.
These are my thoughts for changing moris since the offering is only supposed to make smaller changes to the game

To be honest I still think, that mori would be useless, when it could be used only after second hook. My idea is:
EBONY:
- You can kill all survivors, after all of them have been hooked once.
Ivory:
- You can kill one survivor, after all of them have been hooked once.
Cypress:
- You can kill the last survivor in the trial.

I think that's also a good idea, gives the killer a mini goal to work towards and something survivors can do to avoid it.
I think both are good ways to slow down the power of mori while trying to keep its unique ability

I don't want to comment here my whole positions, so I'm just going to link what I've already written:

I feel that a change that would trigger the mori after a player escapes from the killers grasp would promote less altruistic play from other survivors such as flashlight rescue, pallet rescue hook breaking or other ways that a survivor can participate.
Since moris come up as a secret under the offerings it is usally very often that you know wether or not the killer has a mori. in this case survivors being carried would feel powerless as the lose if they wriggle and they lose if they dont, if anything it is worse if they escape.
With this proposal survivors could be killed before being hooked once, if a killer chooses to tunnel a player even after a wriggle out it doesnt neccesarily take long to hunt them and kill them faster than the current mori. This could promote a hostage feeling on the side of the survivor.
I personally think it would be hard to make a 'wriggle out' mori and make it something both sides can enjoy/accept

Honestly, I would just remove the offering and replace it with something else. Let the death hook be a mori-able action. There, now you can mori and it doesn't screw anyone over. Also, it'll separate Devour Hope since you won't need to have a death hook to mori people, making the perk more desirable.

I agree that current cypress is good, people wont really complain if it is a cypress mori. I think ivory having the effect i was thinking for cypress would aslo be a fine idea.
with what avoiceofreason was saying this implementation i'm suggesting would effectively make death hook a mori action unless people try to escape hook.If a survivor has to be hooked twice it would make death hook the mori. but the survivor could be freed twice, if they wanted to kobe sure they couldnt be morid, but they only get off the hook once and the killer still gets two hooks on them, the amount needed for the medal
