A concept for Object of Obsession Rework

From what I understand.

SWF benefit from this too much and is too powerful in what it can do.

The devs really want OoO to combo with Sole Survivor.


So here's my idea.

Old:

  • A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
  • If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your *Auras* to each other.
  • This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's TERROR RADIUS


New:

  • If you're the killer's obsession a bond is linked between you and them.
  • If the killer is chasing someone who isn't the obsession will reveal their purple aura to the obsession for 3/4/5 seconds.
  • If your being chased as obsession, the killer aura is revealed to all teammates for 3/4/5 seconds, it's highlighted purple. The killer gets alerted that this perk is in effect.
  • If any chase "ends" the obsession's aura is revealed for 5 seconds in a 64 meter radius.
  • The perk goes on a 60/45/30 second cooldown every time the obsession ends the chase and wasn't found again after 5 seconds.
  • IF YOU ARE NOT THE OBSESSION, this perk deactivates unless you become one afterwards.

This fixes: The constant long range info the perk gives for SWF, boosts the utility for solo survivors. While also keeping synergy with SOLE SURVIVOR.
