Visceral Cankers on the "Game" map

Has anyone noticed that the Visceral Cankers are considered as generators in the Game map ?
And so a creating closed doors?
Happened to me twice now, and no! Harvesting the Visceral Cankers won't open the door, it will just remain as a closed door all the game even if all generator have been repaired.
