haha i felt bad after the first 2 kills so i had to let the survivors go, I know most people use them to go in there and annihilate all of the survivors but watching that bill die hit a little too hard for me.

Tbh, when I first saw mori in action as a survivor I realised I would never use it whenever I would play killer, since it's straight up robs survivors of a game and any chances on escape.

If I being an ebony, I can pretty much guarantee that I am going to be versing low rank survivors all playing solo, making me feel terrible about it. And if I rectify it in the next game by playing party streamers? 4-man rank 1 SWF on comms.

If you want to use a mori without feeling bad just use it on their death hook.

Personally i love photobombing moris but sadly some people want to use it to win games instead of getting style points

    I use moris for dailies.

This, when I bring moris I just use it in place of a third hook.

I don’t use Moris because when playing Survivor, I don’t like being taken out that fast. I just don’t think they’re fun and should be reworked to be basekit and only useable on death hook.

I will bring one in if I see a group of PC users wearing bloody or neon cosmetics and they all have items in their hand and one of them is a key. Keys and multiple toolboxes tell me that you want a fast game, so I’m happy to oblige in that situation.

I only use them on their death hook

Some people are saying only use on death hook, what's the point of bringing it then? I always use it after the first hook. Leave the hook immediately, baiting others into unhooking. Then tunnel the person that was on it and ebony them.

    1) Congratulations, you're the reason people hate facing moris, and the type of player people hate facing in general.

    2) The reason people are saying to do that is because op said they were feeling guilty about using moris. Using them on death hook, instead of on 1st hook and tunneling them out of the game, makes people feel a whole lot less guilty.

Personally, the rare occasions I use an ebony on first hook, the game is just... easy. There's none of the fun challenge I love as killer, so I (yes, me, not everyone, but me) normally go for 2nd hook moris for cool animations.

Hold up. It’s not any players fault Ebony Moris were designed this way.

What? You expect people to come on the forums and find GoodBoyKaru posts to learn when and how they’re ‘allowed’ to use an iridescent offering?

I get your intent but do not appreciate talking down to other players.

No, I don't expect anyone to come to the forums to read my posts. It's not the players fault for their implementation, either; I'm saying that people who tunnel with an ebony on first hook are the people that everyone else hates to face because they just want to end one player's experience as soon as is possible. You can use whatever you want, and play however you want; you bought the game. However it's a multiplayer game, so it's usually a semi-nice thing to think about the other player who also paid for the game, and also wants to have fun.

If you want to play like that, all power to you. Just like if you want to play IriBelt Huntress, or Ormond with a key, go for it. These things are in the game and you can use them however you want to. However, don't expect the other people you're playing with to enjoy it (hence my statement of, "You're the reason people hate facing moris").

I usually only bring them when i have a dailly and then I also bring devour hope and just use the mori as backup.

I would bring mori's and using them on death hook only more if i wasen't such a doofus and actually remembered who is on deathhook

I feel like there's potential for moris to work differently, like the entity granting you strength X amount of times per trial (dependent on rarity, so 4/2/1) so that striking someone with an empowered weapon grants the survivor a huge speed boost, much bigger than normal, injures them, and progresses them by one hook state. Each survivor could only be hit by your empowered weapon once per trial, so no double dipping.

If you do it to a survivor on death hook, you get the mori animation, and hopefully someday they'll make all of the animations the exact same length because having some be literally 3 times longer than others is ridiculous. This change still grants a lot of power, but keeps the survivor in control of their character and in the match. Skipping a hook state means they're instantly in more danger, as well as being injured, so they'd want to use their mega speed boost to get to safety and heal, while the quality of the mori in question would leave the killer with the choice of trying to tunnel that person down, which could be a hassle since they'd now have a TON of distance and a reason to play immersed for a bit, and if it was a higher quality mori the killer could be getting value by chasing others instead, applying pressure across all the survivors.

When you early kill a survivor (tunnel after first hook) the trial becomes extremely lame afterwards. Lame for survivors with four gens left and lame for killer playing hide and seek the rest of the match.

I prefer competitive feeling killer matches. Also, the point of bringing a mori is a cool and violent thirteen second animation.

It's depressing that the community has to agree upon things to balance the game because the devs won't.

I don’t use them or other stupid things that the devs should’ve removed ages ago.

moris, iri heads, etc are things I don’t use as I know how unfun they are to face

There is no malice in my intent nor am I trying to 'end one player's experience as soon as is possible', I'm trying to win the game. There is no obligation to be semi-nice and I don't expect the other people I'm playing with to enjoy it when I do use ebony. They simply have to join another match and get back into the game. This is a PvP game after all. Try phasmophobia or another co-op if you're taking other peoples feelings into consideration.

Considering how I play killer the majority of the time, I'd rather not have to play other games where I have to rely on my team to do well (co-op games); being able to play the 1 in a 1vx game is the fun part for me.
