Exit gates must spawn far from each other

Let's talk about it.

Too many times, I managed to be the last survivor in a game where I had to open an exit gate after the hatch got closed. But when both of gates are too close to each other and you don't have any key, what options do you have? You can equip sine chill to know when the killer is looking at the gate and begin to open it while you know he's not looking, but what happens if the killer has a high point of view where he just has to turn around to see each gates? Even with Wake-Up you can't be fast enough to open a gate til the killer reaches you.

What I mean is: a last survivor who is trying to find the hatch before it gets closed is harder to find than from the killer perspective: you need to be a minimum stealthy, even more if you are injured, and the running speed of a survivor is slower than the basic killer speed., So the killer has already the advantage to find fist the hatch, and close it. Then, if the gates are close, there is absolutely NO CHANCE to escape. If at least there could be some tricks to escape.... i dont know like re opening the hatch for a 15 seconds timed action, but no. Otherwise, you have to equip a key, but you can't predict that you will be the last survivor. And what if you don't want to equip a key?

Something has to be be reworked about it.

In my opinion, they need to upgrade both sides options when it comes to gates. The fact that if you can win is dependent on complete RNG is completely stupid. The problem is that if you make the gates too far apart it means that even if a killer know exactly which gate you are at, they may not be able to reach you in time. At the same time, the reverse is just as bad. I think a possible solution could be to have it so when there is only one survivor left, to not have the red lights glow until the third light, but that is only a quickly thought up suggestion.

I can't recall how many times I've seen exit gates too close together and they take so long to open. On the new map the gates are basically across from each other so if I'm last survivor left I don't even bother going for them if the killer closes hatch. But I have noticed more and more the doors spawning on the same wall which is so dumb.

I think the amount of time to open gates should be reduced if youre the last survivor before gens have been done or make it so you have more progression on the door before the lights start showing on the switch.

You aren't guaranteed an escape my guy. If the hatch gets shut it should be down to luck if you have another chance at all. You already had your chances to escape. Do gens, if that fails, find hatch. If you lost hatch I'm sorry but you've lost. If you get out through exit gates good for you but it in no way should be a guarantee.

It really depends on the situation you find yourself in, it can be very skewed one way or the other. Even sometimes when the exit gates are far apart the killer might luck out and have a hill they can just stand on and see both. Then they know where you are as soon as they see a red light. It’s probably hard to change anything because then it would make it easier for one side and harder for the other. At least being random it’s a toss up you just never know what side of the coin you’re gonna get.

What you can do is (this works best when the killer just runs straight back and forth between the exit gates, turning around as soon as they can see if the lights are red or not. It’s much harder when a killer can stand in one spot and just turn in circles to see the exit gates, or if they decide to not just run straight back and forth but turn around after a few seconds coming back to the same exit gate they were just at 10 seconds before.) “prime” the exit gate by interacting with the exit gate switch for no more than 7 seconds (at 8 seconds the first red light comes on). Then hide near that exit where you can see the killer coming. Once they turn back around to head to the other exit gate go back and now you should only have 23 more seconds left. I’ve gotten out by the skin of my teeth many times this way. I usually walk to prime and hide so there’s no scratch marks and so I can hopefully have a sprint burst for running back to the gate to finish opening it. So basically get to a gate and hide watching for the killer. When the killer turns around “prime” the gate for 7 seconds, then walk away and hide again. Wait for killer to come back and this time when they turn around get back to the gate ASAP and hope 23 seconds is enough.
