The worst halloween event in dead by daylight.
Huge disappointment, the "log in rewards" don't compensate how terrible this "event" is.
It doesn't even feel like an event. It's the same drying gameplay as always with the same boring objectives. Also only 1k bloodpoints for making an event objectives? Laughable.
There is also no motivation to play for this "event" since there is no blight serum anything like that similiar.
The only good things about this event are the skins, addons and flowers that are "kinda" back.
Mathieu said on stream that the team has a plans for the changes to the event. Just don't tell me that they're actully log in rewards....
It just doesn't fix how crappy this event is. Sorry.

Worst halloween event? Yeah. Worst event in general? Ehhh, imo the winter solstice events and this years lunar year event (I think it was called Scarlet Swarm?) were significantly worse than this one; at least we have 2 items, 2 addons, and a universal killer addon this time round, and special event gens, and free currency. In the winter solstice we got firecrackers and in Scarlet Swarm we got firecrackers, charms for logging in, a nea shirt for logging in, and a Dwight cap for logging in.
Is it a good event? Nowhere near, 3rd worst. But is it THE worst? Not imo.
BHVR please make another Moonrise event like in 2019 please. I'm ######### begging that event was so ######### good.

God I forgot that scarlet swarm event existed. It was such a #########. But back to the topic yep, this is by far the worst halloween event in the game.

Wait, there was titled lunar new year event this year? Not even being sarcastic, I was playing that whole time and never even knew it was an actual event, I just thought it was a few new skins and a bloodhunt

All I rember is pretty new Suzie skin. Apparently there were also firecrackers and a theme and gen reskins. Guess it really was an event. But it also wasnt advertised as some big, huge EVENT!-style event so I'm pretty chill about it.

It very disappointed so it not ungrateful like they can do better but they didn't like at least others games like eso and destiny 2 have a better Halloween events which is sad that Dbd didn't.

Oh man, it's been a real turd of an event. But be careful posting criticism of it today. Just for teasing BHVR about the technical difficulties they've been experiencing during the Stranger Things event, I've seen bans on Twitch and blocks on Twitter. There is no sense of humor on Halloween.

Well, as for me If they're only giving login rewards, I'm just logging in and then switching to another game. I'm only playing this now because of the double bloodpoints. But after that, probably putting this game to rest at least till I have 3 more friends to play swf (or if someone tell me people have chilled).
This game has the worst matchmaking ever (yesterday I was put, as survivor, with a rank 17 player with one single perk, totally lost, against a rank 6 killer... I am rank 6, my friend rank 5 and the other random rank 10). Killers are being as nasty as they can be, facecamping and tunneling every game from the start. And my precious teammates are sandbagging every oportunity they can. Sometimes I wish I could mori my own teammates (it gets to that level).
And the event didn't do anything to compensate until the bloodhunt.

All that does is give me a ton of nostalgia. Seeing old lery's reminds me of the times where this game was better and was when everything I liked was still fun and enjoyable. Like old Billy and non-dedicated servers :(

No not at all how can you defend this lackluster event when they gave two free skins in the past two Halloween events especially when they made 110 million dollars on cosmetics alone last year and they can't even give back to the community I'm currently done buying s*** in the game and people like you kind of just ruin and give the devs this idea that is very anti-consumer just disappointing how much I anticipated this event

Not even, it was planned damage control because they knew how poorly received the event would be. Did you see how none of the devs were surprised or apologetic during that QnA?
They knew what was going to happen, and they didn't care.

I don’t think it was the worst event but it was pretty disappointing. I was so hyped for it, but a lot of that went away once I saw the details for the event. I actually lost the will to play DBD for Halloween, the biggest day for a game like this. Every other event could be just ok, but Halloween needs to be the big one. Unfortunately, BHVR failed at doing that.

I just want mention something really important, that some youtuber pointed out. BHVR released this cash grab "event" in the middle of global pandemic, when a lot of people lost their jobs and they're struggling financially to live. I know you are not forced to buy the rift or the skins, but this is just showing a middle finger for these people. Really not cool. I thought BHVR were about to support community during these awful times.

Gosh, I hadn't even thought of that. I'm one of the fortunate few who has access to income during all this, but not everybody is as lucky. It really is tone-deaf on their part to release the greediest "event" yet during this time.

And they very likely won't. They'll count on the angry players to forgive them and keep playing, or the new players to never know what they're missing out on.
Either way, it behooves them to not call attention to their greed and tone-deaf actions.

why are u still moaning, u are just being ungrateful at this point, yea if the event was the same as when it started then id understand but god theyve given you enough auric cells to get a whole entire halloween set for nothing plus u dont even need to spend it on the cosmetics. also the addons arent great but there something different and fun to mess about with. there is challenges based around crankers as a callback and more bp and theres more blighted gens and hooks to grab easy points. aswell as all this there is 6 halloween sets that are all great and that have been halfed in price as well as so many other sets that are 75 percent to 30 percent of saving you a bunch of aurics. im not saying it perfect but god stop complaining and enjoy the event.

This year's anniversary event was probably the best event in a while since the 2019 Lunar new year event

Honestly the dailly logins saved the event for me. I am having fun with the addons. (Sprinting walking Myers is amazing) and on top of that i get a free original killer.
Being able to get the next original killer for free beats 2 skins you have to grind for any day imo

After that "event", I'm not gonna buy anything from their store and will most likely not buy any DLC if it's bad. This whole situation just disappointed me to the point that BHVR showed me a middle finger and also to a lot of people too. As always moneys wins. Yikes.
Also how am I supposed enjoy something that doesn't exist? Lmao.

There was an event this year?
Couldn't tell because no one is using Pustula Petals or the new add ons. Oh and there's literally nothing in game that adds anything new other than the reused crankers from the challenges that take only a day for everyone to complete.
I wish the rift wasn't a thing so BHVR could focus on fun events instead of whatever this is.
