Is there any speculated killer as decisive and heavily argued about as Springtrap.

That's actually why I've went back to playing F13 for now, I just wanna chill and play a game instead of feeling like I'm in a cod tournament. Plus, sometimes I like trolling the screaming kids when they think they can loop me as Jason and get throwing knives into them.

My only guess would be Chucky, because there is a lot of controversy of it, and a lot of people divided about the subject

Springtrap was a non-entity to me until I heard about him over here. So either I'm completely out of the horror loop (unlikely) or he doesn't reach the same iconic status of the Killers everyone knows. My own conspiracy theory is that the people who own the rights to Springtrap are always on this site trying to stir up support for the idea and create pressure on the company to try and acquire him. Think of it as the same kind of campaign studios do to try and win Academy Awards.
The bigger the perception of the demand, the more they can charge for the license. Me, I'd rather they spend that kind of money and attention on a Chucky or getting the rights to Jason, or Pinhead and the rest of the Cenobites.

It does feel like an astroturfing campaign, doesn't it? All of a sudden we're getting regularly flooded with threads like this when there was no interest in FNAF for years.

Exactly.

I'm wondering it it's because it's getting a Launch Title on the PS5, kinda bringing it back into the main stream.

That could be it. Even if it's not an astroturfing campaign, it'd make sense that a new game would spark some interest in having FNAF characters in a MP game, and DbD is the "go-to" for horror nowadays.

Probably because he kills children every one seems to forget that were lucky to of goten demo because of how many child actors are in the show that is somethong the devs won't support and it would back last if they did

While I particularly care for Springtrap in general, I can see why people think he would be a good business choice. I mean, FNaF made the creator a hugely, hugely rich man in the span of, like, two years. It's huge, even if I don't think he'd be the best choice.
