Accidentally Being an Awful Teammate

Today I had a match where I accidentally slammed a pallet in front of my teammates face while we were being chased (I didnt know they were running in the same direction) and later on the game I accidentally ran into and momentarily bodyblocked the same person while they were getting chased.

I felt bad and tried to get the killer to chase me, even running directly in front of the killer to be stabbed, but they weren't letting them go and mostly ignored me (Fortunately they lost them eventually).

I've had a lot of games where I come off as rude or trying to get people killed when I'm not trying to.

Once I didnt unhook someone because the killers terror radius was too close and I was afraid they'd get downed immediately again, and ended up letting them hit the struggle phase...standing a foot in front of them.

Anyone else out here accidentally making things worse?

No, but I'm often the victim of that.

I just got off of playing Survivor, and was a pink haired TOXIC AF Nea (she's the most OP killer in the game). A cross-platform Blendy kept running the Doctor into me. I don't think it was on purpose, but they basically caused that Doc to tunnel me out of the game early. I couldn't get heals, couldn't work gens, couldn't do ANYTHING. If I was off a hook, that Blendy was running the Doc right up to me, and he was more than happy to kill the injured pink haired lady. Ran him as well as I could, and the rest of the team were clearly trying to help and compensate for how bad that Claud was, but it was of no use. Her consistency in running the Doc into me was just too reliable. I wish my car was as reliable as that Clauds stupidity.

As someone that uses only Claudette as my survivor, I use empathy to help keep an awareness of where my teammates are and NOT run towards them with our resident stabby friend. In the case I end up doing so, I will turn and run back the other way passed the killer to lead them off, though I usually just get downed a slightly safer distance away. I've had one or two games were someone was so bad a teammate doing things like your Blendy all game to the point it seemed intentional, that me and my friend would just let them die.

That happens to everyone. Yeah I'm salty when I'm the victim of that, but I've done it accidentally too.

Experience will help you. Treat it as learning.

    Everybody makes derpy plays.

Just play "How could this happen to me" in your head when it happens to you and play the final credits meme when you do it.

Makes a lot of my salt turn into laughter

Yeah I have matches where I always seem to be making the wrong choice and looking like I just bought this game instead of being a seasoned player of over 2000 hours. I just apologize in post-chat but I still feel bad that I was probably the weakest link in that match.
