Devs - about undying....
Good job! I actually feel like this is one of the best perks since clowns release. Sucks about pop nerf but please keep giving out strong perks to hopefully change the meta. Undying makes hex perks feel meaningful and powerful. Also makes survs do bones and have map knowledge! Keep up the good work on making new perks!

I'm a big fan of undying but it does need a slight change. As Otz suggested, make cleansing Undying remove renewed totems, or remove the aura reading. As it stands, it does too much. It completely overshadows ToTH. Perhaps if they put the aura reading on ToTH as a compromise?

I disagree. Yes the perk does a lot. But it is a hex perk. Once a hex perk is gone its gone.
How ever. I will agree with it if hex totems where hidden better, but so many totems are literally in the open still, its kinda bothersome for hex perks really. I mean imagine, running a hex build but 10 secs in game its gone cause totem spawns. Least with undying i have a chance to defend my totems vs having to now play with 3 or 2 perks for rest of the game.

The aura reading is completely unnecessary and should be put on thrill of the hunt. The perk still does its job and if you're really reliant on the aura reading aspect you aren't a good killer. But then again I'm biased. I didn't need several chances to use ruin before. If you can't pay attention to any of your totems then don't run a hex perk. I feel like no changes are being made only because they want people to buy blight.

ToTH could get a overhaul. Maybe respawn dull totems.

Undying isn't that strong. You have to sacrifice 2 perk slots to make it effective, and even then it's not a guarantee that it will be effective. If survivors go for totems, you have 2 perks for 90% of the game, if survivors just do gens, ruin gets almost no value and all the other hex perks suck too bad to be reliably used.
The aura reading gives minimal value because your attention is going to be focused on finding and chasing survivors, and the aura reading only comes into play rarely if the survivors you are chasing happen to run past one, giving you information on where they're going. It's hard to discern survivor auras among the generator auras, the hex auras, and the hook auras.

My god... What have you done?!? Now it'll get nerfed.
They haven't even done the perk review for that chapter yet...geeez thanks

I mean hopefully more killers will stop forward and say the perk is amazing so devs will leave it alone.

They base the nerfs on how much a perk is used. Not why a perk is used, or how it affects the gameplay.
0 -
That will only bring the nerf faster... Hurry call it useless and ask for a buff on aura detection before it's too late!!!
BTW. JK
Good affirmative thread.

Yes whataboutism incoming........ if thats the case...whatsup with ds ub adrenalin and etc? AHHHHHHH SCARY NOISES.

You know what youre right.
DEVS IF YOURE READING THIS. CAN WE GET A NOTIFICATION TOO WHEN SURV IS NEAR TOTEM? /s

It’s there to chase survivors off of dull totems.
If there aren’t any dull totems, a hex can’t transfer, making Undying a waste of a perk slot.

Gotta say in actual seriousness. Whattaboutism is a word to nullify comparative things on opposing sides.
I usually consider the person that pulls the whattaboutism card rather than converse as the clear loser of the debate.

By the time survivors have done all 5 totems, a competent killer could have easily gotten 2-3+ extra gens worth of time through ruin undying. It's probably the strongest killer perk combo I have ever seen in DBD, especially on meta killers. I don't play nurse/spirit/etc much anymore but on pyramid head it's just disgusting to send someone to a cage after pushing them off a 70% gen with tinkerer and by the time they heal and get back it's almost at 0 again.

Idk... i mean noed bloodwarden and egc exists.
1 -
NOED only gets you 1 kill against good teams, after you already lost the match. It is extremely overrated. Ruin undying will get you 3 or 4. Bloodwarden is extremely counterable and the 99% door meta is already a thing because of it.

Uhm, no. Just a dev statement from the last stream (about OoO). Since it´s not used that often, and its user don´t have a particuarly high survival rate = no nerf.
0 -
Perfect. And also their rank and perk selection should be revealed within 71 meters of any totem.
0 -
Well... okay so i need you to follow my train of thoughts here.
Remember the dev stream and them talking about licensing? And how they talked about how difficult it is to nerf licensing killers and perks? I think the real reason they dont wanna nerf oo is cause of how annoying it would be to go thru the whole proccess. (Explains why freddy took a year+ to fix)
What devs forget is killers will tunnel ooo out the game.

I mean yes like deerstalker and knockout if unexpected it can be potent af
0 -
Yes, they forget that certain perks cause a certain behavior on both sides.
But perks are not licensed (or are they?). So it shouldn´t be a problem to change them. I mean, BHVR isn´t a indy dev team. They could change perks more often. We have a ton of unused perks, that are just waiting for a buff/rework. How about changing those first, before touching the newer ones?

Its because they are worried about revenue i believe. Personally i agree with you. I also dont understand half the issues dbd is having. I also dont get why in 3ish months it took them this long to only "fix" these small perks. But issues that the game are having takes a long time.
