When nerfing Decisive Strike?
Hello mates! Probably you are killer just like as me or survivor, maybe toxic, maybe not. We're gonna see here on this discussion what we will get feedback about Decisisive Strike.
- Why I am thinking that DS is kinda op ? Because when Enduring still didn't have nerf BHVR decided to buff DS and then nerf Enduring but they totally did nothing about DS and one thing, this one perk is strong and with combination of unbreakable, dead hard, adrenaline it's just to easy !
From perspective of normal main Killer it's irritating that one ######### uses DS I dunno, in locker. Yes DS is working even when you are not getting tunneled, repairing gens, hiding in lockers. Like I know some of you maybe are gonna be salty about it. But did you know that 2 workers is working on balance of the game and BTW - They are survivor main. Maybe some of you know that DEVS aren't really good at game and they know it but still they are thinking about them as GOD of this games and when they duck up they match, they are like "ok, (killer) is to OP we have to nerf him". I know that NOED is OP and maybe other perks for Killer, but still you need skill for them (NOED is for low skill).
I would really like to what you are thinking about it. But please don't be salty survivor complaining how Killers are Over powered because you are bad in this game.

when killers stop tunneling which will never happen

I think we can nerf DS when tunneling is significantly less prevalent in the current meta, as killing one person ASAP seems to be what most people who play killer want to do. (Note: most not all.)
I believe that DS could do with some changes to it, to make it more anti-tunnel and less anti-momentum, but the overall strength of DS should remain the same until tunneling isn't as much of an issue as it currently is.
If you're struggling with DS, here's a novel concept: chase someone else.

yeah, it's a very weird thing that really needs to be addressed. If nothing else, revert DS's stun duration from the **5 SECONDS** it currently has to the 3 seconds it had right after the perk's rework.

Killer main here......I dont understand why killers think DS is a problem. Sure on occasion it can be annoying. But perks like addrenaline, sprint burst and spine chill is what annoys the hell out of me. I pay no mind to ds anymore. Only time u gotta be wary of it is end game. But during the game i will pick you up and wat that ds all day.

It's a 5 second stun, however roughly 1.5-2 seconds of that stun is spent in the animation of getting off of the shoulder.

Personal experience; feel free to go into a KYF and you'll see that from hitting the check, it's a while before the survivor is able to move.
Though, I think I made a mistake; it's about 1-1.5, not 1.5-2.

KYF you can get away with 3- one as killer, one to stun, and one to save from the hook. I tried finding the patch notes but it was taking me a while and I wanted to get back to you; I'm still searching but I'm not sure I'll be able to find them.

There already was a DS nerf. It's called Blight. Blight laughs at your pitiful 5 second stun. Blight laughs at your pallets and your Dead Hards and the concept of distance itself.

Honestly, of all of Laurie's perks, D-strike is currently the least problematic. OoO is way too powerful in the hands of a SWF, giving everyone in the voice chat unlimited info on where the killer is. Sole Survivor promotes a very selfish plastyle, and is one of two perks in the game that requires your teammates to die before it works. As such, no one should ever use it. The only change I think D-Strike could really need is reducing it's remaining active time when a different surivor is hooked, since it's supposed to be an anti-tunneling perk anyways. OoO and Sole Survivor are in need of more drastic changes, and comparatively, D-Strike is in a really good place.

The Devs should change DS in my eyes down to 45 seconds and pause timer in chase. However they should think of a different anti tunnelling also one that is more balanced I had an idea. Along with DS they need to rework a bunch of perks.

DS isn't the problem. It is fine as it is and...in many cases is the sole reason a bad teammate doesn't get you killed cause of a bad save. (I swear Borrowed Time is teaching newer people to make horrid saves.) IMO, it is the back to back activation/combo of Second Chance perks that is the problem. There need to be a cool down mechanic or something in place for Second Chance perks just like when Exhaustion was brought in some time back. I.....have no idea what that could be, or how to make that effective though...

If killers didn't tunnel then DS wouldnt be needed. I do think though that if you are doing a gen or cleansing a totem it should deactivate as the killer isn't on that person.

DS does even stop them from tunneling after be DS you bet your going to get tunnel out the game.
only time it good to ds the killer is when the gates are open killer can't do anything which feel broken

Once devs solve tunneling/camping problem, people will stop taking DS. You are looking in the opposite direction.

One could ask the same question about NOED. I just had a match vs a doc and he never used his power I was chased for 5 gens and he got a 4k because of noed. Granted all other survivors seemed like potatoes for opening the door and not looking for it then trying to save without destroying it. But it could still use some sort of rework also.

I think they should buff it because I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been moried, tunneled, camped, and NOEDed. AND I DONR HAVE THE PERK!!! You might be thinking, “Your just a dumb survivor main. You don’t have the perk and don’t know it’s use.” I main both and I don’t get mad when survivor’s DS me, because I don’t tunnel and I usually see the person that unhooked them. But I do get annoyed by tombstones/moris, iridescent head + belt, Noed, and many many more things because they unfair and so easy and that’s why I don’t use them. Killer mains hate perks that they made survivors use. Don’t tunnel. Don’t camp. They use things that are unfair and unbalanced and like I said makes survivors use perks like adrenaline and DS. And then you complain why it’s overused. You guys complain about Adrenaline, a TEACHABLE, when you have a perk like Noed which is a perk that belongs to nobody AND cancels it out. Not only that but it rewards survivors for being good but Noed rewards killers for being bad. They need to buff DS so killers learn their lesson and stop being such [BAD WORD] and ruin it for the rest. And maybe if they stop then they’ll make it to what it was and if more tunnelers come back then they should make a buff permanent. Those are my thoughts on why killers are so entitled and complain about perks they made survivors use.

Like DS is not a big problem because you can leave survivor for one minute but mostly I have 4 survivors with DS 😅. I know that many of stuff from killer is OP but many thing on the survivor side are too. It's not easy to type some words to solve that problem, but we will see

Ds should be like this active for 30 sec entering a locker perk dezactivates. As killer if u get a 4 ds and eat all u lose the game 100% plus those ######### who enter lockers need to be sluged until they die.

I would rework DS that it de-activates if you go touch a generator. You obviously aren't tunneled if you can repair gens. Giving just plain 60 seconds immunity without real conditions is dumb. There has been perks nerfed for less such as pop which actually reguired you to hook a survivor and find right generator to use it for.

Calling me an entitled survivor main won’t get rid of the problem of killer’s behavior. Most survivor perks can easily be countered by perks if you are THAT worried. Let’s look at a few. Breakout? Iron grasp and mad grit. Sabotaging? Hit them if you can or again iron grasp. Head on? Try to make them use it improperly. Iron will? Stridor. And uh idk. DS! If they enter a locker just ignore them. Go find somebody else. Killers have so much and they still complain, they still tunnel, and they want to nerf DS? Like shut up. People need this perk. People need it because of you.

Sole Survivor also has the issue of just being a crap perk overall. IIRC it was the first "anti-aura" perk but the effects are too bad to be worth running. I think due to how BBQ is coded, sole survivor does nothing against it which is another problem.
