What's the deal with pallets?

I've noticed over the last few games pallets are acting weird. Like I'll expect to get stunned on one side but somehow I make the lunge and am on the other side. Or I'll be damn sure I'm far enough away from the pallet and get hit or think I made the lunge and get shunted back. Just have a survivor message me and say I'm glitching through pallets and he was gonna report but ######### is actually going on? Did they alter pallet mechanics or something? Playing as pig if it means anything.

Use Enduring for easy grabs then.

No I get that it benefits me (sometimes) but that's the problem. Getting free hits when it should be a stun and nothing else kinda ruins the fun.
