Would it be fair if survivors couldn't seal portals?
What do you think about sealing demogorgon's portals? If portals were permanent, would it be balanced or overpowered?

Portals would require either a considerably longer cooldown or decreased travel speed, but I think it could work, yes.

Tbh, it would be a nerf to demo, as you cannot regenerate portals

Demo would lose a key part of his kit: using portals as traps.
If they can’t be cleansed, there’s no reason for survivors to be near them, and then there’s no reason for them to have Killer Instinct & Oblivious.

Alright. Then what if when you out of portals, your new portal replace first portal, as it works with hag and freddy?

That’d be good, honestly I’d pefer if demogorgon could either manually seal their own portal from anywhere or make it so they have less portals but can teleport to them from anywhere

You can also trick survivors into thinking it’s safe to cleanse a portal, and use Of The Abyss to check when they’re cleansing it, and then approach via LoS blockers to get free easy hits while the survivors closing the portal are affected by Oblivious.

I think a better buff would be to just reduce the demo's walking sound. The demo's has an innate undetectable mechanic yet has a really loud walking sound making it impossible to stealth after teleporting or with other method of undetectable or oblivious.

Good survivors won't seal portals anyways (in 90% or more instances). Gives away your location, makes you Oblivious, and takes a heck of a long time.. just for him to be able to place another? Plus, if you just do the generator near that portal, then don't seal it, you've just denied him a meaningful place to teleport to.

I think this could be an ok change if the demo knows portal placement since a good demo can still utilize portals effectively even if the demo put it there for a different purpose (like pressuring a gate late game). This wouldn't be ideal for newer demos as they would probably place portals in places where they are useful for one thing. And once that thing has been completed, that portal just sits there and becomes useless. Good survivors would see this and not break the portals so making them a permanent thing would be bad unless you cycle through it again like hag traps.
