Any Update on Matchmaking Re-Work?

I was wondering if there was any update on the matchmaking re-work.

There was a change implimented not so long ago, which introduced a separate, invisible ranking system for matchmaking. It was interesting to see myself, a typical green rank survivor, matched with people with a variety of ranks. It just shows that rank does not always equate to ability. But that system was revoked shortly after, for some reason. I wasn't able to confirm whether this worked well, from my own perspective.

I have not been playing killer much recently and am currently in yellow ranks as killer. I'm finding it tedious having to work my way through lots of unevenly matched games to get to my usual green ranks. It would be great to get an accurate skill match after a shorter number of games.
