Crashes my PC when launching the game
Step 1 : Boot the game
Step 2 : Notice how the game crashes before the title screen finishes loading
Additional information
It will pause for a moment on the sparks/embers (after the cutscene, before you press space to continue) and then go for a second and then crash. Screen goes black, all the LEDs go off, fans stop working, I have to flip the switch on the power supply to get it to restart as the power button will not work.
I have:
Reinstalled Dead by Daylight
Reinstalled Windows
Upgraded from a Nvidia 1050 to a 1650
Cleared my Appdata folder
Verified Local Files for DBD (Multiple times)
Set the game to launch at 16:9 resolution
Set the game to run in windowed mode
Changed the type of cord and sockets that connect my video card to my monitor (From HDMI to DVI)
Turned off all game overlays
Set the game to run as admin
Double checked that it was allowed in the windows firewall
Defragged my C: Drive (I was at a loss by this point.)
The windows crash log just says that windows experienced an unexpected shutdown with no other helpful info.
The problem remains and is extremely intermittent, some days it doesn't crash at all, some days it only crashes. The number of other processes seems irrelevant as it will crash with nothing else running and work fine while I have a twitch stream and discord going. I am at a loss as to what else I could possibly do, any potential tips would be extremely welcome.
