DBD getting worse?
I didn't play much DBD the past years and i've been a huge alpha and beta fan of this game but i noticed that they have been made really drastic changes...
The Oni is hardly counter-able and i died every time playing against him, match making is really bad and the toxicity of the community is getting worse... the killers camp the majority of matches and there is a low chance to survive unless someone plays the game excessively... hooks everywhere i go and this game doesn't seem very inviting i must say. Will there be any map updates? Because the maps are usually really bad in lay out from a game design perspective and the wiggle is usually just a stressor because of the frequent hooks there will be always a 1/4 chunk to completion except for newbie killers.
Will there be any bigger updates regarding the wounds of the game or will the developers just ignore everything like they did in the past year or so?

the truly ironic thing about your post is that this game is entirely survivor sided

They have devs making new things and devs fixing old things (though the past few updates are what we have to go on)
They have said that they'll work on (things they have said publicly and things they can't talk about) everything... but starting with the newer stuff first
I would say that the game has stayed the same for a couple of years... so the playerbase has learned all they can... leading to stagnation and bordom... with breeds toxicity and wanting more
They won't fix the maps by hand... they'll adjust the numbers that make the maps (which I don't want)
This year they focused on connectivity ( getting servers, attempting server side hit validation, attempting MMR, Cross-play)
I personally don't know what next year will bring... but there's hope for big changes

This game is the best its ever been, those who complain about balance need to look back on all the broken ######### the devs have sifted through.
Combine that with the large amount of new content the devs are pumping out, and it's foolish to say the games gotten worse.

Imagine if there was a record that kept track of every quitter who quit during a game with Decisive Strike.

DS is hardly counter-able and i lost every time playing against it, match making is really bad and the toxicity of the community is getting worse... the survivors genrush in the majority of matches and there is a low chance to kill unless someone plays the game excessively... pallets everywhere i go and this game doesn't seem very inviting i must say. This statement is even funnier because the game is easier for killers now than it has ever been. It's not one sided, you just aren't as good as other players. Can't win every game you play. There is always someone better than you in games, keep that in mind.

easier for killers != balanced game for both sides
Here's two hours of the best players in this game playing the best killers going against the best survivors in the game. Notice the kill rates.
The devs do not balance this game around high level play, they balance it around mid level play, where the majority of players are. At this level, killers are much stronger than survivors because survivors don't efficiently path around tiles. When you get survivors that can fully exploit tiles, even one of the strongest players in the game playing the strongest killer in the game that avoids many obstacles, nurse, has a very hard time acquiring kills.
These tournaments are the best gauge for the balance of the game, as more variables are controlled than a regular match. All the players are all similarly skilled, so the balancing factor is purely game mechanics.
The game is very heavily survivor sided, this is an objective, provable fact. Saying that killers are in the best position they've ever been is fallacious and disingenuous as it completely ignores the objective fact that the game still very heavily favors survivors.

I would agree to an extent that the matchmaking has seemed to be a little worse lately and that community can be iffy at best sometimes. However, those things are somewhat uncontrollable.
In regards to the hook situation, play the petrified oak offering if you have it, I believe it increases the distance between hooks. That's the only thing I think you could do about that because honestly, it would be difficult for developers to determine what would be fair for survivors and killers and someone would always be griping about it.
It would be cool though to see things updated for maps, but the developers can only do so much and it atleast seems like they try to make the game better.
