The lack of interaction you get with killer these days cause of the current strats and metas...
....make me wish I got tunneled 24/7 (aka the killer chases me non-stop)
But things has changed over the past years, every killer including me I guess have switched to new form of "hit n run" tatics. It gets boring playing survivor after a while, most of the games I will do gens cause the second I pallet stun a killer or vault to a strong loop like killershack or jungel gym the killer will yeet across the map and never even try to touch me again until end game when they dont really have a choice but to chase a survivor for hooks and points.
Most of my chases barley last more than 30 seconds before the killer decided they dont wanna deal with me anymore. But I can't honestly blame them, the game in its current state is not exactly balanced around 1v1 chases and the killer got not 1 but 4 survivors to deal with and I get the idea of focusing on the weak links first as they will probably waste more pallets, lose mind games and overall chases much faster.
I know this is a pretty odd thing to rant about but the game as a survivor is just getting boring the more you play and I wish we had more interactions and objectives.

I knew this would be brought up eventually.
Hit and run is boring for survivor as you don't get any longer than a 30 second or even 20 second chase. It feels crappy just seeing the killer bail you whenever you get to a pallet or really only hit you when you can't do anything like in a deadzone. The issue is that the killers have to do it because leaving 2 to 3 survivors doing nothing for upwards of a minute can throw your game.
It's why I want longer more interactive objectives, so killers can actually have long chases without being punished as hard as they do now. Along side balanced maps.

I wish they allowed survivors to build up the breakable walls instead of them being already built, and the killers just break them at the start of the match. The breakable walls was an opportunity to make survivor more strategic, and possibly more entertaining.
Plus, I’m sure Killers wouldn’t be so upset about the breakable walls If survivors actually had to spend time to build them up.

The longer you make objectives, the even longer amount of time 3 other survivors are gonna be sat around holding 1 button and getting even more bored than they already are. It's definitely a balancing nightmare that BHVR have obviously tried really hard to make work, I don't think making objectives any longer or shorter is the way to go about it.

That’’s only because most killers think that win is 4k. If the average kills were 2k and you do 4k 1 of 10 games this Will be a better game and less toxic and stressful

And that's why we got to play nurse, so we can just down you in 15 seconds.

As the game is now, assuming all 5 players are equally high skilled, if you don't get a hook within the first 45-60 seconds of the game, its probably a loss for the killer. I'm going to use the logic people like Scott use, though the numbers may be off, feel free to correct me:
In that 1 minute if the Survivors are smart, they will all be split up across the map on separate gens, that means in 60sec for the killer having made 0 progress, survivors have at best made 240 seconds of progress, 180 if someone is being chased. If the map is a normal "balanced" map, the amount of pressure killers need to create in that short window is extremely difficult to keep up with, and so long as the survivors aren't potato, chases cannot last more than 1-2 tiles before abandoning the chase for someone potentially weaker is the best choice.
TL:DR game actively discourages chases, despite it being the main source of fun

I Main Nurse for such a long time now I know pretty much every trick in the book. I have gone against Legacy Nurses with 4-5K hours but even then I could last long in a chase. Nurse should in theory down any survivor within 10 seconds cause of how broken how her power is in 1v1 chases but thats almost not the case

Sorry, but they”re not killers . They”re people trying to have fun. I”m a surv main with 3.000 hours and I never escape if the killer play fair.

so Many selfish killers can”t understand it, I know

The Killers entire objective revolves around stopping Gens so that they can contain the Survivors and eventually kill them. If the game averages 2 kills and 2 escapes, you basically want the Killer to fail their primary objective, on average.
Sorry dude, Survivors shouldn't get free escapes, those should be earned. In the same way, Killers shouldnt get free kills, those should be earned, as well. A game thats balanced around one side essentially failing an objective, and the other pretty much guaranteeing they succeed unless they really suck, is horrible balance. Killers will always feel cheated and Survivor wont be nearly as satisfying.
And I can say with pretty much 100% certainty, as someone who plays both sides, I wouldnt be playing either if the game turned in to that.

I think a 4k is considered a win because all of the adept Challenges for killers necessitate a 4k while the Survivors only require them to escape. Clearly this is designed around a 4k and Escaping being "win conditions".

This is literally what I think every time see a post about tunneling and especially about camping or slugging.... The game does not reward killers for going on fair chases. Every second you're in a chase you're falling behind cuz the other 3 survivors are just holding m1 on the other side of the map far away from any danger...
I honestly don't think that gens should take longer to complete. That would be boring for survivors. But they need to be more interactive and less safe, so they actually feel like they're constantly under threat, and most definitely they should require more skill and commitment than holding a single button and occasionally getting a "are you awake" check.
It's unfortunate but I try to believe the devs do the best they can...lets remember at some point in the distant past they did mention they were working on something similar to End Game Collapse but for early game...I would hope that is still a thing and I'd hope that solves the issue of matches going to quick for killers to want to bother with chases.

Well if I'm playing killer and I know it's a strong survivor loop or an infinite like cow tree I will give up on them because I know I'll never catch them even with bloodlust 3. Sometimes it's a strategic move to give up early in the chase if you know they can loop you for days

Look I mostly agree with this, the problem is some killers really skew this data (along with maps) becusse they are able to play incredibly fairly and have fun chases with easy, like blight, Freddy, nurse, spirit, huntress, cause they have more than enough pressure to be able to do this. This then makes for really unfun games and stomp fests when these killers start playing less fair or as you would with maybe a weaker killer. You see the problem?
The balance has always been hard to strike. If they made gen speeds or objectives longer or so that every killer could have fun and fair chases, what happens to these strong killers? They’ll just dominate. And what happens when killers start playing less fair then? They won’t even need to think and I’ll just dominate.
I would be onboard for this change, especially as someone who strives to do this when I play killer, but there would have to be far harsher punishments for killers who play less fun and scummy or ways for survivors to more easily deal with these tactics.

@Withered8 eventhough you can say the game is Survivor side, but its still Killer's decide how the game is going to be (as camping/tunneling or not).
The hook system have to be reworked, like Pyramid head's cage, the camping will be gone. And there should be a requirement like all 4 Survivors should get their 1st hook before Killer can last hook someone, to remove tunneling.
After those 2 fixed. We will see the true power of Killer, when they're force to play more fair. From there, Devs can nerf Survivors by adding more Objectives.

Agree I think they should have done this anyways but I imagine it’s something they will consider in the near future.

Also, the killer is given 2500 bp if all survivors are killed in the match. A survivor receives 5000 bp, if surv escaped.

Because the aim of the game isn't really to kill survivors as much as it is to get hookes and feed the entities ambitions.
