Any tips for playing Pyramid Head?

I got him a week ago and although I've had some pretty good games I feel like I can do better. Any tips or tricks I should know about?

I'm also new to PH and only thing I know, you should not break pallets because it provides easy hits with your power. God pallets is exception, your still better break it.

And one more thing. When you drawing trials you move with 110% speed. So you can infect people while in chase in open area if you need. And when you catch someone hiding in corner you can infect while bodyblock.

    Big brain tip:

    Franklin's Demise + Mannequin's Food (add-on) + Rights of Judgement Trails =

Remember, be respectful and Only use this knowledge for g- BWAHAHAHAAAAA! 🤣I couldn't finish that with a straight face... Go nuts my fellow magnificently evil monsters! Just stick to the Killers code: "If survivors never hold back on their builds and tactics, why should you? "😈

YES! Hi hello yes I'm here and I'm queer-

So, basically, don't brwka pallet except Shack and other god pallets. You can still very easily zone with his Rights of Judgement (ROJ) and Punishment of the Damned (POTD), and breaking pallets gives you less free hits from it. They vault the pallet, get hit, they don't, you can either cancel or follow them round till you can hit them with your power again.

Don't just spam POTD through walls. At least let there be a chance of hitting someone before you use it due to the cool down.

With the current sound bug, just tap m2 after every POTD and it goes away at no cost to your speed.

Cages; torment is pretty easy to apply but I wouldn't waste your cages. Use them when you'd get more pressure out of them (like there's one person slugged and tormented and one not slugged, cage then down the other guy). Otherwise just save it for the Final Judgement imo.

Don't just tunnel people. As fun as it can seem getting 1 kill early, the other three can and will just rush through the gens and it's game over before you can say "Eichhörnchen" (actually that's a pretty difficult word to say, so maybe not the best example). Spread the pressure and cage when it gets you more.

Build-wise, here is my current recommendation:

    -Hex: Ruin

    -Hex: Undying

    -Barbeque and Chilli

    -I'm All Ears

Add-ons: Burning Man Painting (+1.5m range on POTD), Wax Doll (+1m on POTD).

Alternatively if you don't like the RuinDying core, feel free to substitute them out for something like Corrupt+PGTW or even sloppy+Thana if you really want it (wouldn't suggest it though, that last one ain't very good on him).

If you got some specific questions lmk :)

The best tip for playing Pyramid Head is... Don't play Pyramid Head. Too much skill to be mastered but so low reward. A waste of time, go play Oni instead. He is a perfect example of how a killer should be to be effective, Oni is the last good killer they released. Deathslinger and PH have no map pressure a well known weakness who can be exploited, Blight has map presence but M1 in chases (if he get well looped). Oni has none of these issues. Honestly Idk why devs are releasing weak killers in these times.

And right now, Oni is fantastic. Really bro, just leave PH where he is unless u want play him with a Mori to be toxic. If u look for fun pick up Oni and do this: equip Monitor&Abuse, BBQ, PGTW and IF. You spawn in the match, injure someone, get your power, transform, leave the injured alone and go back to patrol gens with your daemon mode = profit. And the best part, is you master his curve, no one will loop you not even for 10 seconds. Gl

Pyramid head main here, I agree with you in, I think, everything you said.

Don't waste the tormented state by using the cage when it won't add pressure to the game. You know someone is nearby the you and the guy down ? Cage, and chase him, you got one surv in a cage, one in chase, at least one to go for the rescue, and if you're lucky, the last will come too, zero gen pressure applied from the surv.

Chili BBQ and Pop are not a good synergy with your power, but when you use your power, you know where/who to chase, so not having BBQ is not a big deal, and pop, with the nerf, sure you won't have the time to use it if you know you'll have an immediate chase (in the case where you'll prefer to hook to have Pop, then chase again) after.

About PH in particular, his "special attack" is easy to avoid if the chased survivor just keeps an eye on the direction he is aiming. It works only against bad survivors who lock themselves in animation, like jumping a windows or throwing a pallet. In other situations is really easy to avoid becouse is a slow projectile (so means it won't never work in open areas) *always assuming the chased survivor has just a brain cell lol*

Pyramid Head's power is amazing in chases. Oni is an M1 killer until he hits someone which, provided teams have braincells (which admittedly most solos do not) won't be until like, 3 or 4 gens have popped.

But I guess Pyramid Head is weak? Kepe thinking like that so the devs don't nerf him k thanks bye

besides builds and add-ons , getting good at predicting Survivor behaviour is a key skill the you can gain by playing him more! also I am all ears perk is very decent on Mr Pyramid , Rites range add-ons are good too.

people really type way too much nonsense.

    1. remember that you dont have ot use your power all the time, knowing when is exactly what playing killer is all about, for every killer.
    2. know that cages teleport the survivor about as far away from you as possible, use that knowledge, especially when doors are powered.

Demogorgon has a special attack as well as PH, with the difference that he's hard to dodge if managed properly + amazing map pressure. I don't get why people think PH is strong, he's not even close to be better of Demo. I think you guys are the same who looked for the Hillbilly nerf xD

Demo's attack has a huge priming time and cannot pass through walls or pallets. Strong in the right hands? Sure. Literally gets hits at every pallet and window regardless of survivor skill? Not so much.

Don't be afraid to use your cages. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to snowball quickly. But, also think about when you're using them. If you have two people downed and tormented its usually best to cage one, and then hook the other so you have a place you 100% know where to go after they get unhooked. As for his shockwave attack you should use it like huntress and aim where the survivors are going to be, not where they are. Unless the survivor runs in a straight line and doesn't attempt to dodge his attack. You can also use his power around corners to trick survivors into cutting loops wide. Just activate your trails and then let go and that gives you an ez hit.
