Why is it impossible to get teammates that do anything?
So many games where I'm doing 3-4 gens by myself and my teammates aren't helping but farming each other and when I get chased by the killer for a long time to gens popped like this is ######### garbage and i'm tempted to quit if this game wont' give me good teammates just for one game

I once desperately asked the other survivors to m1 gens in the lobby. Two of them said that they only cared about points. DBD has a horrible grind with horrible currency that encourages players to play the game poorly. And then the devs look at statistics gathered from those players and design the game around making it easier for them. Fun!

The higher the ranks you go, the better your teammates will be. It is like a night and day difference with my teammates compared to where I was back before rank reset.

I just got out of a match where a Legion decimated us on shelter woods. They were using Sloppy and this rank 3 Zarina kept using self care every time she was injured.
Without a med kit.
With Mangled.
She just wouldn’t let anyone else heal her even though I was running Desperate Measures.
I just don’t get it.

There is a meme video a person made, but with a Claudette Self-Caring and they having "We'll Make It" which makes it way worse. Horrible teammates.
I'm always that person that tries to focus on generators and goes for the unhook if I'm near or I see the bar on 1/3 and nobody going for them. It's difficult to coordinate on SoloQ and I've been insulted by players for not rescuing them in the basement with a camping Killer that just doesn't leave the area...
This community is lovely sometimes.

Pictured below is the average solo queue team. From left to right you have Meg, Meg, Claudette, and Jane
Instead of doing gens, here they are vibing.
Why do something productive when you can clicky clicky them, after all.

It's funny how doing everything you should properly barely awards you, it's a -1/0 regarding the pip, but those farmers get +1 for barely doing anything useful

The team you get as a survivor is always so random. Sometimes I get the best team, sometimes I get the worst ones. Just yesterday I had a Meg that had a flashlight. We started together near a gen. 2 secs fixing and she blows up the gen and runs away. The killer comes, sees me and chases me. He downs me, Meg saves me right on his face without BT or anything. I got chased and downed again, but since I was the obsession (but I wasn't using DS), he didn't pick me up. Long story short, everytime someone was downed, Meg would just run to farm them, doing nothing else. Me and a Kate tried to fix, while the killer was going for a Bill and Meg was just chasing them, looking for the time to farm. Worse, the killer knew it, saw her several times, but ignored her in favor of going for everybody else. In a twist of fate, something happened and Meg ended up DCing (she wasn't downed or anything) so she lost all her points.
And then sometimes you get the team that is really coordinated and will try to help, take hits for you so you don't get downed twice in a row and just be good at not only keeping a chase going on, but not taking the killer to the areas where gens are being fixed. Also, as far as what teammates do, I believe the point system ends up making people want to fix less and do other things more. You get way more points from being chased or saving someone, than fixing a gen (unless you do it with someone else). Sometimes I'm the person who fixes the most in the match, the others are healing and saving, then I get to the end, we all survive and I see I have way less points than the others, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
