A true, uninterrupted 60fps gaming experience, except for stutters during latency (which I know can’t be helped).
Survivor and Killer work FLAWLESSLY. It’s a dream come true to FINALLY no longer be screwed up by performance dips when about to hit a survivor, and then get totally disorientated.
PS5 version is wonderful.

I still need them to fix current gen :( I can't afford any new consoles and probably won't get them for a few years.

They aren't gonna say it but this is what they meant by console optimization. There's no point in getting the game ready for a console generation that's at the end of its lifespan. They were preparing for the next gen the entire time.

It still runs at 60 fps? Why don't they increase it? Also increase it on pc w/o having to edit files and risk a ban.

I am with you on that also plus I remember buying the xbox 360 on release and the whole red ring of death wasn't fun lol learnt to wait plus money is tuff atm.

I’ve seen the post from some poor unfortunate Xbox Series S/X users that their DBD keeps crashing.
Had me worried. I’m very glad that isn’t happening on PS5. Hope they Xbox Series S/X version gets fixed soon.
With how gorgeous this runs on PS5, I’m extra excited for the new chapter. Might have renewed my interest in Blight too.
Shame that Freddy is removed. I’m gonna guess if I play survivor, MM will prevent me from being matched with Freddy players? Coz how would the model be rendered?

I've heard that DBD is widely inconsistent on PC.
I've heard of some people with 1080 TI's struggling to run DBD and then other with 1050's having no problem.

That's not a very good tactic to employ, the next gen is gonna have limited consumers and the current gen still has plenty of life left. I think they're deathslinging themselves in the foot if they dont think there's gonna be a wider audience still on current gens for a while

I read that if you edit the files you risk an EAC ban and the devs won't do anything about it.

thats not true. youre only editing game user settings to increase fps and the max fps is capped at 120 even if you have a 144hz display or more.

Wait, so Freddy and Quentin are not on the PS5 version? Of course there is some problem with the license, but they are already in the PS4. Makes no sense that they aren't available in PS5. They will probaly be released after some time, but still...

One of the reasons PS4 players turned crossplay off was so they didn’t have to face PC players who were at a performance advantage that decimates the playing field.
Guess everyone has to go an get a PS5 early on now, so they can still play DBD and avoid getting brutalized every match.

Freddy and Quentin are in the game files on the PlayStation 5 version, you just can't play with them on that platform. For example, I play on PlayStation 4 and if I chose Freddy as killer you would be able to play against me as survivor with cross-play enabled.

There's probably more ps4 players who have cross play on than off , I hopped on my ps4 to play with a buddy yesterday and all the people he would invite had cross play on

That’s amazing! I’m so glad that PS5 seems to be our savior.
I do have a couple of questions regarding PS5 DBD:
- Are you using the digital or physical? This is important because physical PS4 copies aren’t eligible for an upgrade and I’d like to know if I can expect to have the same performance as you are (or at least similar to yours).
- Do you really have to earn all your trophies again? I really don’t want to have to go through the hell that was Adept Nurse and Plague. Nurse was hard enough with the old Adept requirements.

- i had a digital copy of DBD PS4. So i was able to upgrade to the digital PS5 version. Worse case scenario for you is that base game is still relatively cheap, and your account will remember/link any other additional PS4 content you purchased for DBD. Mine linked all previously purchased DLC and cosmetics, AND progress.
- Yeah... despite it linking everything purchased for the PS4 version, the console still recognises DBD PS5 as an entirely separate game. So yep. All trophies were a clean slate. Funny though how upon loading into the game the first time I instantly earned the P1, P2, P3, and P3 50 trophies.

I’m sure it’s a licensing issue. There’s no other reason for BHVR to remove The Nightmare on Elm Street chapter with how popular Freddy is now, and how sales of that DLC was boosted.
Oddly enough though many of my matches were still in Badham, and map offerings for Badham were still in my inventory, and I still have all of Freddy’s and Quentin’s perks.

Game stutter is game stutter, and every PC is put together differently. Plus, controllers are only a disadvantage as precision killers.
